Okay, so I'm white, as you might've gathered. However, I live in a predominantly black town, and our nearest grocery store is in a majority black neighborhood. And my wife just got back from there and said EVERYONE was buying sacks of black-eyed peas. People were rushing in saying "I've got to have black-eyed peas" only to be told that they were sold out.

What gives? My wife says it's a southern thing - you have to serve black-eyed peas on New Year's Eve. Is she right?

Black Eyed Peas and Collard Greens are what you eat on NYE/New Year. Symbolizes in some places "luck and money".
We usually eat them every NYE.

Are you black, blue? I always assumed you were a fat white girl based on your avatar.

It's a tradition from my father's side of the family. Not sure why you're trying to shit on that.

    Grapes are a laxative.

No, dipshit, I actually read the link. It says it produces a year of prosperity. Did that describe 2016 to you?

Considering that my parents are still both here and happy I'll take it and continue to honor my family's tradition.

Here is a new tradition you could start.

If you start Star Wars episode IV at exactly 10:02:43, the death star will explode at midnight.

Just tell yourself that Trump is Tarkin.

Only if you first let Denny drink 12 of your Trump tears.

As the tradition originated in Spain, I guess we've discovered that HCP isn't the only person who needs to fear deportation under Grand Moff Trump.

If you say so dipshit. Geezuz some people are miserable, I wonder if it is living with all the black people. Funny thing is my black neighbors directly across the street have 2 Lexus Ls460/430 in the driveway and a beautiful black Ls460 in the garage. Maybe they're miserable because of my new yellow go-kart... image000000_01.jpg

As I've explained a few times in here, yes my father was born in Cuba. When the first revolution started (pre Castro) they moved directly south to Venezuela. When my father turned 21yrs old he legally immigrated to the USA. He then enlisted in the Air Force and became a proud citizen.

He has no fears of Trump deporting him.
