If you talk to any assholes that want to join a gym tell them to wait a few months. YOU WERE OUT OF SHAPE SIX MONTHS AGO AND YOU DID NOTHING!!!!!! Stay off my machine.
I said machines. Roid guys do free weights. Wish I had some roids. I'm more irritated by humans, if you need New Years to change then you're not ready.
haha dude I totally understand what you're going through. It's why I got a home workout machine instead and run when its warm out. FUCK January at the gym. You're fucking burnt. Wait it out though, the people will go away in 3 weeks guaranteed!
I know, same thing last year. These idiots buy cool gear and hire a trainer and three weeks later gonzo
This is ridiculous. Do you also hate people for trying to quit smoking this time of year? I see it as an opportunity for more female eye candy at the gym.
Talk about ridiculous, you think the hot girls roll in on the first? It is mostly middle aged 50 year old Herefords buying yoga clothes and wedging their big butts into clothes 2 sizes too small. They actually make it harder to focus on the hotties. Also, if you try and quit smoking on the first you'll fail likely because you'll want to lose weight at the same time because of the holidays gain. We need to do away with New Years resolutions, how many smokers start coughing in August and put it off until January? That 4-5 months could be where the cancer takes hold.
Yeah i get the whole "they are trying to improve thenselves you should support them" dialogue. The thing is, these people have no God damned idea what they are doing in the gym. So they hog machines, have no gym etiquette, stand around and chat for a long time, and make it so i cant even get to the bench press without staying at the gym for hours. Do your lifts and get the fuck out of the way.
As stated earlier the more ladies the merrier. Honestly, I work out at the butt crack of dawn so it doesn't matter to me.
I quit the gym about 6 months ago. I can do a workout at home in the time it takes to drive back and forth to the gym. But I remember one thing that would piss me off is when people would leave water bottles or gym bags by a piece of equipment and walk off..."doing who knows what", thinking they could "reserve" it.
BTW, you can get a good workout at home without much equipment. Just get a stand where you can do pullups and dips, get some resistance bands to add weight to your push up. For lower body you can do dead lifts, one legged squats, lunges etc....
One nice thing about the home workout, is I break it up more, and do less exercises. When I'd go to the gym, I'd work out so hard I'd get nauseated. Nothing like getting nauseated in the middle of driving.
