It has been about 10 years since Tyson has played a complete season without an injury. I do not know much about his injury history, but he appears to have one or more every season. At 34 years old, and three more seasons on his contract, I believe I will pass.

I would rather hire Kaman as an asst coach than tie up cap space for veteran mentoring. Is there any rule on how many asst. coaches a team can have, and how much can be spent in a season on coaching??

I was shocked to see his bpg are at 0.4. Meyers fucking Leonard gets 0.4 in about half the minutes! And while his DRPM is decent, he's no Boban.

That said, so long as we don't give up much, he's got to improve our D. I suggest this: http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=zawxpjv
(Vonleh and Ezeli (whose next year is not guaranteed) for Chandler)

Chandler won a ring with Stotts in Dallas...he'd fit in quickly..he's putting up just under 8pts and 12 boards in 27 minutes this season..his contract is cheap in today's market..I can see where he fills in for Ezeli not playing and gives you a true big guy

Still prefer Bogut. He's younger and better. And if the Mavs really want to unload Wes, how 'bout Crabbe and Leonard for Wes and Bogut?

Not really intrested in a 34 year old injury prone center who has 3 more years on his contract unless we get him for basically nothing. I wouldnt' even trade Meyers for him straight up, but then again i'v thrown in the towel on making moves that are just for this season

    A. The Blazers aren't doing this...at least not yet. It's a rumor. Those always turn out to be true, right?

    B. A center rotation of Plumlee and Chandler is pretty damned good.

    C. Maybe there's another move to come in addition to this one? If the Blazers somehow snagged Milsap in addition to picking up Chandler, you could be talking a significant playoff run.

    D. Are the Blazers only supposed to make a move to improve, even marginally, if it makes them an instant contender? I doubt management sees it that way.

    A. True
    B. TRUE
    C. Hadnt thought about that also is an intriguing point puts us on par with houston I would think, fighting for 3-4 best team in the west but...
    D. I'm confused by, but by all accounts we're 'supposed' to have the first ever championship three peat? triple? trifecta? im forgetting the word for third movie in a series. So maybe were 'supposed' to just be shitty this year and get a good young player that would be good 3 yrs from now when GS and CLE dont exist in their current forms of demagoguery.

Really old and a lot of miles on that body. He was a high school kid straight to the NBA.

Can I just say there is no clearer an instance of PED's in basketball than Richard Jefferson? Cause it's obvious.

So we're not interested in Cousins and Noel but we are interested in Chandler... Yikes.

I mean, if we have them expirings (ex. Ezeli, and Vonleh) for Chandler, I wonder if we could gain any swap rights with their pick. If do that, but they probably wouldn't. I don't even know if I'd wanna do Leonard for him.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
I mean, the cost of acquisition is going to be significantly different in each case. It's like saying to someone with $7000 to their name, "So you're not interested in a Mercedes, but you are interested in a used Corolla....yikes."

The Blazers don't have a lot of trade capital and we don't even know what the Kings are demanding for Cousins, assuming Cousins is even available which some sources have said he isn't.

Btw this would be such an underwhelming move. It's one step above trading for Koufus. Why would a non contender go after a 34 year old when so many other, younger, big men are available?

The only answer would be veteran leadership and mentoring, but that's way too high a price to pay in my opinion.
