Don't be suprise if Neil goes after Okafor from Phil. Phil finding out they don't have enough minutes 3 good young big men. I would give them Cleveland 1st and Vonleh. They might want Crabbe I would consider that to free up cash for us.

Yes, it looks as if it may be Okafor rather than Noel who is available; or else Noel's price is going up by the day, because he is establishing himself as healthy and playing well. Also Jimmy Butler is playing so well, the price will be really high on him if they trade him at all. I still think Ibaka may be available and not for such a huge price. Otherwise we are left with guys like Bogut or Monroe (and I'm not sure about him, he has been playing very well as a reserve, scoring rebounding and quite a few assists also.) Oh, and I almost forgot Milsap, I wish BNM would get in here and explain why he might be a good get.

Forget about Okafor. Can't rebound, can't defend.

Recent link about Whiteside. They're talking CJ:

NBA TRADE RUMORS: MIAMI HEAT LOOKING TO SHIP HASSAN WHITESIDE, THREE POSSIBLE TEAMS TO GET HIM

    Portland Trail Blazers
This one is gaining a lot of steam and has trumped the Celtics rumors. Portland may just be Hassan Whiteside’s next team and it could boost the team’s chance to make a deep playoff run. According to the source, the trade will focus on Hassan Whiteside and CJ McCollum and may just benefit teams right away. Hassan Whiteside already considered Portland as his second choice during his free agency run.

Whiteside will give the Blazers a massive upgrade in shot blocking and rim protection as well as compliment Damian Lillard with his improved pick and roll play. The Heat, on the other hand, will have a dynamic backcourt of Dragic and McCollum that will massively address their scoring woes. Hassan Whiteside for CJ McCollum may be the blockbuster trade for this season.

Some of y'all might want to jump on this. Think CJ's Poison Pill may make Miami wary? I'd like to get HW without giving up CJ.

Then he should have just signed here so we wouldn't have to give up our 2nd best player in order to get him 6 months later. If this trade goes through I'm going to be hard on Hassan until we get to the WCF.

Doesn't matter, If we would have signed him, and then when CJ's contract kicked in we would be stuck with the three of them and a bunch of scrubs and that isn't enough. Three max on one team is leaving the team too strapped. The only way you do that is if its Dame, LBJ and KD or something.
One of the three would have had to budge on taking less or would be moved to make room for some key role players. Key role players aren't cheap anymore. just ask Turner and Crabbe.
I don't think the three can exist on the same team with their contracts because of the money.
With that said I hear ya. Would LOVE to have all three and still have flexibility to fill in the gabs.

Here is a good one I'd definitely take.

If Bryan Colangelo is finally ready to cash in on Sam Hinkie’s assets, trading for McCollum would make sense. Here’s an idea to mull over: The Blazers send McCollum to the Sixers for Noel, the Sixers’ unprotected 2017 first, the Kings’ top-10-protected 2018 first (which is becomes unprotected in 2019), and multiple second-round picks. There would be financial kinks to work out because of the poison pill, but that would be the base offer. If you’re a Blazers fan, your first reaction is probably to click out of this article, but wait! A trade of this magnitude accomplishes two big things: In Noel they would have a young, elite rim protector who fits on both ends, and it would provide Portland general manager Neil Olshey with the flexibility to retool in a way more conducive to title hunting. The Blazers would probably say goodbye to the playoffs — as bad as Lillard and McCollum are together on D, the Blazers are even worse on defense when Lillard is on the floor without McCollum — but that’s kind of the point here. With threefirst-round picks in a stellar 2017 draft, Olshey would have tons of ammo to put them in the conversation for superstar trades. If they kept those picks, they could find players that are better fits alongside Lillard, like Washington combo-guard Markelle Fultz or Duke forward Jayson Tatum.

CJ/Plums for Whiteside or CJ for Noel and picks.

I wouldn't seriously entertain either. I don't think CJ's value can get much higher in the short time frame we have to make a move.

Hmm. Yes, I think I would take that too. I would be VERY surprised if the Sixers offered it, though.

It makes sense for them. Noel they might be willing to trade anyway as they have too many players in his position. In CJ they get a shooting guard they will not be able to draft this year even with their two high picks (their and Lakers as it's only top 3 protected and it doesn't look like Lakers will be bottom 3) simply because he's had 4 years of development in the league. They will still have a top 10 pick from Lakers probably, and will be able to draft a decent point guard talent as top 10 of draft is full of them (Smith, Fox, Fultz, Ball and probably some others).

Next Summer will be a true game changer for Sixers IMO. First time in years that they will be able to draft good backcourt players with their high picks. They will probably get 2.

Would have to at least consider that due to the reset it would help with on the Salary Cap side of things and the defensive improvement. Also, Crabbe might finally be ready to step into that starting role so the fall off wouldn't be so big on the offensive end (totally different types of players) and it should help some on the defense in the back court.

Combine all the picks + cap flexibility and I'd be up for that. Have to figure out the PP provision but since Portland isn't doing anything with all this guard offense, need to look at something else.

Gotta ask for the Lakers pick instead of the Kings 2018 pick imo.

CJ for Butler would improve our team big time. And actually, even Dame for Butler would as well, but Portland won't trade the face of the franchise.

I think they think they have their PG: Simmons. That's why CJ makes perfect sense for them, because he can play off the ball in the PG slot.

CJ for Noel/Pick is....... not great.

CJ for Whiteside would be better, but eh...... I'm not sure.

If we're going to trade CJ, it has to be for a comparable star. Is Whiteside a comparable star? He's averaging 17 ppg, 14 rebounds, 2.2 blocks, and a 21.8 PER. That's pretty damn good.
