Umm, no doubt they are all wonderful. But I don't know that this statement paints the real picture across America. In my town, not rich, but then not the poorest on the coast either. In comparison to the general population, I expect only the owner of Bandon Optical and the Principle makes more money than the school teachers. Perhaps the new Doctor, but I don't think she knows yet, the previous closed the operation in disgust. Maybe the Dentist, but I doubt he knows yet either having less than a year running the practice.

In general the local school teachers make nearly twice the average of the local population. How much here is fair?

Wow, coming from you this is funny. Who ever said life was fair???? Is it fair that CEOs make tens of millions of dollars while their employees make minimum wage??? Is it fair Trump is going to be president with 3 million less votes than his opponent?? It's just the way it is. Maybe your towns former doctor and dentist would have succeeded if everyone had health care. Would that have been fair?? These teachers went to college and racked up debt. They, like everyone else get paid what the market dictates. After listening to your takes on life for the last year and a half you are the absolute last guy I would expect to whine about "fair". Wow, you sound like one of those liberals you are constantly deriding. Like life owes you a living and your version of "fairness". Your comments about "fair" are absolutely astounding.

I don't know where local is for you but Oregon teachers are required to have a master's degree or at minimum a 5th year. Now compare them to other jobs requiring that level of education and tell me if you still think they're overpaid. Graduate school is expensive!

I appriciate your opinion. However. In the event of zombie appocalypse. 5.56 is going to be easy to find in the us. Tbh, i just want an ar-15 because of the bad press they get. I have my .270 for hunting and my 22lr for cheap plinking. Just want to add another size to the arsenal. Options never hurt.

Ive got a benelli nova with home defense barrel and extended round tube. I keep 8 shots in it incase of a late night visitor.

Thats anothe thing i like about the ar15 m4 platform. So many accesories available if i need a light and laser and red dot ect. I can get it all easily. Wouldnt mind the grenade launcher on the bottom, just in case.

Thank god our government respects our right to privacy and wouldn't ever create a simple database of ip addresses and mentions of weapons. I mean no one would ever think that might be a way to prevent terrorism. Mentions of weapons and tie that to IP addresses of the person making the post. Nah. The government would never want to know who owns what weapons. Never.

So you mean, the locals should have no say? The teachers are entitled to what ever pay they deem right and just for their education? Dang man! It doesn't work like that for anyone else.

    I don't know what you're talking about.

    Guns are bad.

I would never buy one from a private party.

    I would never own any.

Did I mention that guns are bad?

Sure, Oregon set their standard. If a teacher can't recoup the cost of their education that career will stop attracting people to it. I guess Oregonians could decide to lower the standard to a BS/BA or HS diploma but they haven't show any indication they want to do that.

Let me add right here that I feel I got an outstanding public education and I don't have any children myself but firmly believe education is the way out of poverty.

Between your post about threatening to kill people in the PP thread and your gun posts here I imagine you've made a few different databases.

Yet the government still employees me. But they also employed a muslim terrorist as pesident for the last 8 years, so i see your point.

And i never threatened to kill anyone, im too lazy for that, i suggested people take personal responsibility.

There are currently 137 US government employees on the No Fly list.

    Congrats on becoming number 138.
