And I'm asking how you think that could be possible... how do you think 3 - 5 million illegal votes, all going to one candidate (voted for by secret ballot or in a secret voting booth), could happen?
I don't know. I didn't make the claim that it did happen. I just said that with current voter rules, that it could happen because people can go in without showing their ID.
I'm not surprised to see him throw these crazy "alternative facts" out there because he keeps doing this and his fans will just say, "well that's how he rolls" but I can't get over the fact he's still focusing on the election numbers (and the inauguration numbers for that matter). It's just so irrelevant and trivial at this point... he's been sworn in, let's move on and get to work Mr. Trump. Now he's calling the entire voting process into question and tossing out numbers that any rational person can see just isn't possible. And, if he's so concerned about massive voter fraud, why isn't he drafting legislation to try and fix it immediately?
He is working, quite a bit actually. And the convo about the voting numbers was said in "passing" from what Spicer said. Someone just decided to take it public.
Sure there's potential for voter fraud with mail in ballots but not 3 - 5 million times. Mr. Trump's claim is ludicrous and he's just sent Sean Spicer out to reiterate it.
It definitely could happen. Another thing that could happen - 5 million drivers could all crash their cars at 4pm today. Probability is infintesimal... but it could happen. barfo
Paul Ryan says he's seen "no evidence" for President Trump's unverified illegal ballots claim Paul Ryan is a Catholic - this is probably his equivalent of saying a few "Hail Mary"s. As a reward he gets to throw 3 poor families off welfare.
Looks like Trump is going to substitute most of his asinine tweeting for having Spicer spew his crap every press conference.
And? I listened to the Presser.... Key word is "could". Reading comprehension please. You could have 6 toes, because it happens and I can cite percentages in whatever state you live in, doesn't mean I believe you have 6.
I guess I need help on the reading comprehension too. What does the word "could" mean to you? To me, in the context you're using it, it means that it is possible. What does "could" mean to you? How is it possible that 3 - 5 million illegal votes were cast for Hillary Clinton? I'm asking, in your wildest imagination, how would that happen?
I have no clue. I am not privy to any sort of information like that. I made no claim about it one way or the other. The point is, that because ANYONE can walk into a voting booth in the states I mentioned in the previous post and vote without I.D, there is a potential, however far remote, that voter fraud COULD take place. You can't 100% rule it out and myself personally can't say that it 100% happened. I guess we'll just have to wait and see right?
Okay, I will give you voter fraud COULD take place... but I believe I can absolutely 100% rule it out because it COULD NOT happen 3 - 5 million times. If you truly believe that it could happen, doesn't it bother you? Don't you think it should be investigated if that kind of massive voter fraud happened like President Trump says? It doesn't change the results of this election but it could massively change outcomes for future elections. I would think it would be especially problematic for Trump voters because he's saying all those votes went to Clinton. In theory those illegal votes will continue to go to Democrats and could potentially derail or slow the Republican agenda.
Absolutely bothers me. Absolutely should investigate. And absolutely should retract statement if he (Trump) is just bullshitting people. Side bar: That is why I always wanted something like this.... [every single person that lives legally in this country to be issued a voter ID card, something like India does for its 1.x billion people. Now before any of you guys scream racist and voter suppression and all that jazz. The ID card would be free to all USA people; and given out at your local DMV, or city hall, provided you were able to prove you were a citizen. (use your SS card, state issued ID card, passport, whatever the DMV allows). Renew it online or at the DMV for free every so often.]. It's just an IDEA, so please don't go all Jim Crow on me; that is not what I would ever want.
I appreciate the answer and your idea seems reasonable... although it would take taxpayer money to hire people to issue and print those cards and run the website.
