Nope my ass has been parked in New York since April. I went to Florida as an experiment and realized I didn't like it AND my man proposed and he lives in the Bronx. Don't get me wrong I love the South but I'm a New York girl. When we drove through the State of Georgia I waved to you.

...damn, living in the Bronx?...how far from the stadium?

...if y'all drove to NY through Georgia I assume you took I-75...if so, you came within 8 miles of our house...wish I had known, we would have invited you 2 to stop by for a pit stop...but then again if you went up the East coast you probably took I-95. (through Savannah)(birthplace of the greatest man I ever knew)

With all the heavy Traffic here it usually takes about 15 minutes to the stadium. Yes we took I-75 and passed right by Macon too bad I didn't have your address or we would of came by for some Southern Cooking.

If last april were 96-97, I could'a tossed a pecan in yer window as you flew down I-75, just a mile north of Perry, 30 miles or so south of macon.

I wish I'd of known 59 back then; shared the fun of seeing the Yanx kick the Braves ass in the Series.

thing I've always loved about the South, other than the true sincerity of the people, is of course the cuisine, cooks themselves, traditions galore. Not really a fast food haven, tho' who doesn't have fast food; its not really a southern thing, then again
    • "The Varsity" in Atlanta, (now in Norcross) with its Vidalia Onion Rings was spot on. For us it was all about food-
    • Sonny's BBQ,
    • The Cracker Barrel,
    • Texas Cattle Co. Micro-Brewery Roadhouse, best hand made root beer known to man).
    • Mami's in downtown Atlanta: (southern soul food served in bowls, like a Basque meal, hickory smoked anything, ribs, catfish, fried chicken, okra, greens, blackeyed peas, cornbread, peach cobbler, et al, etc, etc.!!!)

and what should of been what I've heard nothing but praise for, is the Amish Smorgasbord like restaurant not far from 59's, the one fk up, I made while in Ga, not going to eat there, when it was top of everyone's list.

15 mins to drive, how long would it take on a bike, or by foot??? To often I see bicycles pass me on side streets parallel to the freeway I'm parked on, as they get miles ahead then out of sight.

In downtown city streets, those bikes literally lose cars to street lights, the only way to fly,.... well on 2nd thought no bicycles on downtown city streets, one needs an armored personnel carrier, or tank...

...oh, I know the place you're talking about...Yoder's Mennonite restaurant...it's in Montezuma, about 25 miles North of us...but well worth the drive...just a little restaurant out in the middle of nowhere...incredible food.

YES, that is IT, Yoder's Mennonite, (my bad on the Amish). Yoder's, Kim and I couldn't remember its name, age is setting in.

One place I wish I had tried, the one and only regret for not eating at, out of our entire Ga time.

Thanx for that recollection, I can smell the Hickory Wind....pine too. (chuckle).
