Well we'll agree to disagree. But just go to combine stats. The only thing Meyers does is jump and his 32 inch vert is not higher than Mase's MUCH higher 36 inches.

Not just the vert, but Mase also had the better scores on the 3/4 court sprint and the agility drill. Bench press is the only thing Leonard did better.

First, Strength is not athleticism. 2nd, I think you just spouted something a quick Google search could easily defeat when you said:

Because what the experts really said was:

    Plums Lane Agility: 10:89
    Beiber Lane Agility: 11:34

    Plums No Step/Max Vert: 30.5/36
    Beiber No Step/Max Vert: 30/32.5

    Plums Sprint: 3:29
    Beiber Sprint: 3:41

And please tell me, when in HELL did the NBA start using 40 times as a metric?

Bruh... Learn the game then post @HCP

Meyers moves like a tree gained legs for a day. He's athletic relative to his size.

Plumlee moves like a much smaller man. Just look at him running fast breaks with the ball in his hands. He does it better than say Connaughton. Plumlee is ridiculously athletic. His limitations come from a lack of length.

Pound for pound, Plums is IMO our most athletic player. Yes over Dame, Harkless, and OF COURSE Beiber.

Funny though, he and Meyers both have a Standing Reach of 9.0.

And for the record, Meyers does NOTHING better than Plumlee other than shoot 3s hesitantly.

I personally think my post above deserves more likes. @HCP spouts hyperbole and gets likes, gets refuted with real facts, and the facts post isn't liked by those who liked the hyperbole.

    Thanks Trump.

You been watching basketball long? Athleticism is only a minor key to success in this league. More freak athletes have failed than succeeded. Harold Minor and Elliot Williams on line 1&2.....

For anyone who thinks Mason Plumlee is getting less $18 million/year, I have two words: Timofey Mosgov.

Last summer, fresh off a season that saw him average 6.3 ppg and 4.4 rpg, Mozgov received a 4 year $64 million contract from the Los Angeles Lakers. For the mathematically disinclined, that comes out to $16 million/year.

The NBA just announced the revised 2017-18 cap estimate yesterday. They bumped it up by $1 million to $103 million. That's an increase of 9.4% over the final 2016-17 salary cap of $94.143 million.

So, if we assume a 9.4% increase that makes $17.5 million the summer of 2017's Mosgov money.

Plumlee is over three and a half years younger than Mosgov, and he's actually a good player. He's currently averaging 11.1 ppg, 8.0 rpg (and 4.0 apg) with a PER of 18.8.

It's true, there is only one Jim Buss, and only so many dumb ass GMs in general, but it only takes ONE offer to set Plumlee's market rate (see: Crabbe, Allen). And you just know there is at least one GM out there that will do it - either because he actually really wants Plumlee, or he kinda wants Plumlee, but REALLY wants to fuck over Neil Olshey.

Listen son....Nobody is questioning whether or not Meyers is succeeding, this conversation is about his athleticism. And interesting you have "been in" basketball longer than me, cause you obviously haven't been "watching" it longer.....not if you think a player being athletic is the reason he succeeds or fails.
