The police sat on the 2nd floor of the balcony while the rioters were downstairs and outside burning, looting, rioting. This is why nobody, or few people were arrested (I think 1 person), and probably why the Mayor is under FBI investigation. The only reason the teacher got caught is because people on the internet figured out his posts on Instagram or whatever.
They weren't fighting against globalization. They were fighting against capitalism. They were fighting against corporations that employ people and give the majority of the work force in this country a job. Globalization is uniting the world under one banner; where the majority becomes slaves to the minority. That's not capitalism; that's a dictatorship. I was on a gun forum, GlockTalk, when WTO was happening. Everyone saw that protest for what it was: a bunch of whiny Liberals who had no idea what they were talking about, who just had to have something to bitch and moan about.
