I'm left wondering why we need this guy. I mean, he looks good but doesn't Nurkić do the same thing? Shouldn't we be looking for a Defensive stretch PF?

Zizic gives us good backup for Nurk. This way we still can play the same with eather player without a big drop off.

There is a bubble around the quoted text OB. It's not hard to differentiate between quotes and what a new post is saying.
I decided to tell the people telling me "it's the truth" to grow up.
Not specifically the poster who felt the need to question my reading comprehension.
Gave that poster a chance to fix it, and have an adult discussion. If he chooses not to, not my problem.

Never mind the fact that it hurts my eyes to attempt to read a wall of text in all bold, caps, all red, or without some punctuation... I won't be spoken down to especially when I'm being nice.
You can disagree with me, I have no problem with that... But don't talk down to me if I don't deserve it, then expect me to even read it.
Before you joined s2, KS got blocked because of that. He's been unblocked for awhile now, however there are a couple well known members I've blocked due to their apparent desire to feel superior.
It's an online forum, not meant to be took serious.
I wouldn't visit s2 if I was forced to give adults passes for being rude af... Like I'm forced to irl.

You're taking it pretty serious for it not being serious.

If by your definition of serious means generally ignoring people who feel the need to feel superior then sure.
By my definition those people are generally not worth a second thought, because they won't ever change. Therefore not serious.

Fair enough. I just thought you were blowing it a bit out of proportion.

If you and him have a history then that is another story of which I'm honestly not interested in. :)
I'm just saying on this circumstance, it didn't seem that big of a deal to me, but that is without knowledge of any history. That's all. :)

Okay? Wesley Matthews went undrafted and Isaiah Thomas was taken as the last pick of the draft. Should we just trade away our 1sts because I'd that?

A top 10 pick is a lot more likely to be successful, but the thing is, we already have two picks late in the first to take a gem like that, if one is there.
I've never disagreed with anything more than this. I guess the draft isn't your strong suit?

Right now we have a 4% chance at the Top 3.
However, were only 2 games out of being 5th and having a 29% chance at the top 3. I'd take nearly 1/3 odds for the top 3.

5 is way better than 10 for the following reasons:
1.) It's a lot easier to trade it up into the top 3.
2.) We could trade it down to 10 and get extra value.
3.) The players are better and have a lot bigger chance for success. (Ex. In 2012 youve would've had a choice of Lillard, Barnes, and Drummond at 5. At 10 the choices become Rivers, Leonard, Henson, etc.)

You're saying that because a player picked at 5 isn't a sure thing, there's no point to get a pick at 5 compared to 10.

However, if you pay any attention to the draft and prospects available, you can tell that there's a big difference between players available at 5 than 10.

There's a chance Josh Jackson would still be available at 5. That dude would solve so many of our problems, for less than $5M a year. He's a future two-way star.

Question is, who do you want at 10?

There isn't one. If you're looking for the next Ryan Anderson I can give you three white stretch-4s right off the top of my head.

Yeah this draft consists of Andersons/ Lowries/ and Batums, There are no solid interior bigs in this draft. The best you wil find is this guy and he would be nice, but we have Vonleh...

We could stash Žižić until we trade him.

Didn't we say that about another Kansas star when Mclemore was drafted? Kansas has had some studs, and some duds. I am always a little leery of their players. But I will take your word for it. Here are two takes on the draft from CBS sports:

    2. Josh Jackson, Kansas: The defense, rebounding and motor were already elite. Now the shot is coming, and everyone needs to take cover. Jackson’s versatile game translates perfectly to the NBA.

    10. Frank Ntilikina, France: More than a lottery ticket, if less than a sure thing in this particular draft. If he gets put into the right situation and continues to develop, Ntilikina could be a franchise-changing player.

    20. T.J. Leaf, UCLA: A 6-10 stretch-four who can sink the three, but doesn’t live by it — nearly 80 percent of his shots come inside the arc, and he shoots 66.4 percent from two.

All three of these guys IMO have a long ways to improve. I admit, being a pac 12 fan, so I have seen TJ the most, but I still say in 3 years he will be a stud. He already has the skills he just needs more strength.

Jackson and McLemore are completely different players. Jackson is a great defender, passer, and rebounder, so you can't compare him to McLemore, or even Wiggins.

I don't think he was comparing their games, but rather where they come from.

I'm down with bringing quality defenders to Portland.

Don't know if this was posted already.

    Whispers from David Aldridge:

Blazers Were Close To Jahlil Okafor Trade Before Dealing For Jusuf Nurkic
    FEB 18, 2017 5:36 PM

Before the Portland Trail Blazers traded Mason Plumlee to the Denver Nuggets for Jusuf Nurkic and a first round pick, they were close to acquiring Jahlil Okafor from the Philadelphia 76ers.

Talks between the Blazers and 76ers were advanced enough for Philadelphia to pull Okafor from their lineup.

The Blazers broke off trade talks with Philadelphia after they decided instead to deal for Nurkic. Portland now has three first round picks.

For those in the know and familiar with all players, which is the better deal for Portland? Limit it to Okafor for Plumlee straight up vs what we actually got for him. Seems Olshey puts a lot of value on that Denver pick.

He brought up McLemore and how he weary of Kansas players. Just saying that Jackson is unique and shouldn't be compared to his KU predecessors.
