    Or Rasheed.

Portland has a habit of holding onto players for too long and getting little in return. Man, if LMA wins a title in San Antonio, that would really cement an already painful list.

Cause he is a nice offensive player that doesn't really make anyone around him better, and he's a defensive liability

    His words, but he's right.

If they did actually trade him he would turn around and write an article about how he's outraged that they did trade him. what a hack.

Fake news like Trump talks about. Sad!

Having Lillard and CJ now...if one of them were traded for the Greek Freak tell me y'all wouldn't throw a dance party? If one were traded for Kawhi Leonard?

For who? I mean this whole dumb narrative only started by the very small sample size that Dame has slumped. Started off the season elite for quite a bit, then numbers went to pretty damn good, past 20 games or so he has slumped. Big deal. He still does better every year in category, slump dropped down his numbers. Still at 48 percent FG. Three dropped to 34 percent which isn't good but I think we all know he is better than 34 percent. Averages 25,6,5. Fans of the team turn on him as soon as he starts slumping just a bit, it's not like this has been an ongoing thing for a season straight. I mean this is just Portland fans for ya, lets say we got a star people liked in a trade with Dame, you guys would turn on him just like dame the second he starts to do bad. It's like you want that rare two way freak like Kawhi and Anthony Davis. I get that but those don't come along often at all. Yeah Dame isn't good on defense, big fucking deal. Neither is CJ who is another dude you guys so desperately wanted to trade not long ago and you just flip flop. I have an idea, you keep the two regardless of the defensive issues and you get defensive players and a 3rd option. Not crazy.

I just can't believe people wanna trade the guy that has been so loyal. that for the most part has played really fucking great. Helped built the culture we now have, does shit for inner city kids and special needs kids. Never had a public issue with him. Lives here year round. Marketable as seen in many commercials, one of the faces of adidas basketball. I mean do I need to go on here? not just play but culture means a lot go ask the kings or any other GM in the damn league, Dame is a fucking treasure and some idiots on here do whatever to throw him under the bus. Unbelievable. We have two stars on our team, fucking enjoy it instead of spending your time hating looking for some trade that wont happen. Be grateful.

Those two way players in the league you can count on one hand and none of those teams are letting those players go and would be crazy to, this whole dreaming thing is great but lets be realistic and think about our situation and how we can improve the roster with guys not named CJ and Dame

Sure you listen to offers, everyone GM should listen to offers on every player but listening is a long way from trying to trade or even willing to trade.
No players is untouchable on any team, there will always be a right offer that will sway a GM to trade a player but it will take a LOT to trade Lillard and if a team is willing to overpay i'll pack his bags for him, until then he isn't going anywhere.

We wanted Kris Dunn last June. Good size, good defender, good passer....
How is that working out? pG's in this league are very difficult to defend, unless you are like Kris Dunn and you can't shoot.
I don't see many two way pgs in this league who can stop Dame that we could trade him for. (I did not say none, just not many)
So who do we want again? Instead of Dame? Let me guess....a draft pick so we are not held accountable for our craziness.

Honestly, I just wanted to see if I could get you to go off just by using 5 words. It worked. I don't even wanna trade him, but I also don't have tunnel vision about Portland's players and their contracts. If someone calls asking, it's the GM's job to at least hear what they have to say.

But just for fun, this is what your post says to me:

Past 20 games or so he has slumped, let's ignore that. He's shooting at 34% from 3, let's ignore that. He doesn't play great defense, let's ignore that.

Now, Dame is the franchise player right now and I don't wanna see him in another uniform. What I WOULD like to see, is him get back to is elite form and give a 100% on BOTH sides of the ball. Every time he hangs his head, I'm going to criticize him. Sure he does great stuff off the court and that's awesome, but really those should be the things you are willing to ignore instead of performance on the court.

That's a very good point. I'd say CP3 is probably the best defender out of the PGs. After that not many are very good simply because on the offensive side almost every guard in the west can score at will haha

Now you could argue is it the bad defense that is making the PGs in this generation look godly or is it the superior offensive skills making every one else look like shit on defense.

No don't hold yourself to that high of standards, YOU didn't set me off, it's people who have been saying this for a few months now. It gets repeated and repeated and thread after thread go by. I am not ignoring that at all. I said yeah he is in a slump. Players do that sometimes, I highly doubt he will be stuck like that forever. he doesn't play great defense, who knows if he ever will. But that's fine. Ignore the fact I pointed those things out, don't know how else you wanted me to elaborate on it

Whatever you say man, seemed like my post triggered you. Also, not sure how it would be "holding myself to a high standard". That doesn't even make sense.

It's fine that he doesn't play great defense? He doesn't even play average defense. That right there is you ignoring his performance on the court. I acknowledged that you pointed out his shortcomings. Doesn't mean you don't turn a blind eye to them though.

He's got an Adidas sponsorship though, so all trades are off the table!

Because you stated some lame smug shit like "I wanted to see if I could get you to go off when I said these 5 words" or whatever. That's lame. Either way it wasn't you. I have been vocal like this on these dame threads but I am learning to get the fuck away from them because it's just cancer. I didn't turn a blind eye, I said his defense was bad. How much more can I elaborate on it? Dame is bad at defense and? only other one I got is he is bad trying to fight through picks which also means hey, he is bad at defense. Sorry I didn't wanna slander the fuck out of the franchise player like everybody else. My bad. Just been a while since I heard somebody say something good about the man but whatever this is a franchise with most fans that are cool and some that just wanna shit on everything. That's fine, keep it up
