    Brewer is a terrible player, though. Terrible offensively, extremely overrated defensively. I think the Rockets made out here--their pick won't be great and they just upgraded their bench quite a bit.

    Lou is not a very good player either to be honest. His game translates horribly to playoff basketball. His stats look great this year though because the Lakers are terrible and have no scorers.

    He'd be a bad player to depend on as a starter, but it's all about having usable players off the bench. As a short-minutes scorer, he's a useful reserve.

    He will help them win a few regular season games, but is a non factor in the playoffs and will do nothing to put them over the Warriors, especially factoring defense.

    Not sure why the Rockets would trade for Williams. Their success this year has been due to having the ball in Harden's hands.
    Williams is best with the ball in his hands. Seems like a terrible move for Houston.

    You don't upgrade your bench to "put you over the Warriors." Very few moves are going to do that, for any team. I disagree that he won't help them at all in the playoffs, though. Defensively-challenged scorers still have some utility as reserves in the playoffs.

    In that podcast with Lowe and Stein, Stein says we really tried to go after Tyson Candler and ended up with Nurkic. Sounds like we were really aggressive trying to get Chandler
