    Exactly.
Getting to the floor, does save them money. Say Philly takes Ezeli. They get the credit on the cap calculations of paying him $8M when they only spend $2M on him in real cash. They save about $5-6M on a trade like that.

    No Drummond

"One league source told ESPN's Ramona Shelburne that the Portland Trail Blazers called to inquire about Drummond but quickly abandoned their interest when Detroit asked for Blazers guard C.J. McCollum in return. The Blazers, sources told Shelburne, regard McCollum as an untouchable."

It's not insulting since Drummond is #2 in rebounding and has a slightly higher PER. It just doesn't make any sense to fill one hole while creating another though.

Bulls and Pacers are both said to be "shopping around" without anything tangible happening with Celtics at moment. Until sky falls tomorrow.

That's an insulting offer to me. Drummond is good but not anywhere near CJ value

Surface stats. Drummond isn't as good as they would lead you to believe. The teams defense is actually better without him on the court lol.

What happened with Drummond? I thought he was a franchise player and Det was huge on him?

It was better without Monroe and now is better without Drummond. Maybe they are just BAD as a team.

Probably the right move, but we passed on Drummond once and I regretted it. I hope I don't regret it again. He is a very unique player. If both hit their ceiling, Drummond is probably worth 3x CJ.

I'd love Drummond but not for CJ. We already have possibly the C position solidified so we're giving up our SGOTF and create that hole?

We passed on him for Lillard. It's not like we picked John Holmes over him.

I'd like to know how Detroit would have planned on making a CJ/Drummond swap work financially.

Blazers should have done the deal... how much longer does Neil need to realize Dame and CJ won't work together... guys like Drummond are not made available very often

The action Neil should be getting on is going to Indiana and giving Larry Bird and KP both blow jobs OK. Then they ask about Paul George.

If they put no players on the court they'll be impossible to score on.

You still manage to take things to a level that supersedes what I imagined possible. If you keep it up I might as well just glue my hand to my forehead.

for me this has been a successful trade deadline already with the Nurk deal, I'd like to see a few more moves but as usual it depends upon what's out there and if its a good deal for us. My guess is that we'll have another modest deal but a guess is all it is. Lets everyone relax and enjoy the process!
