With Bogut, they'll still be able to trade Okafor...

This year's #1? That is currently the 7th pick in the draft. Looks like Dallas won't tank this year if that is the pick.

    Noah prolly

Noah and a first for Anderson?
Depends on the protection on that pick. I wouldn't give up my lotto pick for Noel

No--we would deal him to a team below the salary floor who would take him for nothing (maybe a 2nd round pick) simply to save several million dollars.

I doubt Neil thought they could clear enough salary space to negotiate an extension since Noel's a RFA this summer. He probably hunting for another rookie level salary player.

What does the Blazer motto have to do with this conversation?

Bogut will get cut and then sign with the Cavs or Celtics. Nice day to be him.

I keep seeing this alternative history posted. Other than Aldridge, which good Blazer players have dumped us? Seems we've done all the dumping and ditching.

I really wanted Noel but I think (more so then some others I guess) that PHI got a pretty decent deal here. Other then the pick I guess. Low one in a worse draft.

Dallas is down on Justin Anderson.

Just because he was a first-round pick doesn't mean he'll be any good, folks.

May I present Nolan Smith, Beibs, Luke Babbit, etc.?

Bogut will be cut. Low draft pick in a different draft. Philly really didn't get much here.

From what I was told this morning, Portland made their best offers yesterday and are just waiting to see what is left after everyone else makes their move.

But hasn't someone pointed out that this doesn't really save the receiving club any money? they just end up paying Ezeli instead of their own players? Oh, except they are allowed to take credit for his full salary while only paying the pro-rated part that is left? But then they still have to pay the one million buyout next year. Although maybe they take a chance he has a miraculous recovery?

Yes, someone pointed that out, and was then corrected. This has happened on at least 3 separate occasions, I have forgotten the details.
