Too early for Cocktails. My better half will be home in about an hour. If he catches me hitting the bottle already he will have a fit.
Great beginning. 9-4 victory. The kids look terrific. Headley as always is consistent......consistently sucks. What a horrible contract. Despite Headley's consistency, these Yankees are all about the kids.
Nice to see the Judge show up in court and pass sentence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
...lol...."just reach out and grab 'em by the pussy". ...Lil, on behalf of myself and the other guys on this board I apologize for the foul language...but I'm sure you already knew that "men are pigs".
I once told you guys I have a foul mouth too. I drop the F-Bomb about 50 times a day among other choice words. So feel free to post away.
...future is actually looking much brighter...as far as this season I don't realistically see their record being any better than last years...but then again, if the pitching somehow produces like they are capable of, the Yanx could surprise a lot of folks. ...even though he made an error today, I really like Torrez...if Judge can cut down on the strikeouts I'll jump on his bandwagon...until then, I'm not sold...same with Clint Frazier because although he had a "triple" and 2 RBIs, his base running could have cost the Yanx 2 runs...and I know he's very high on himsslf but he still has a lot to learn. ...and we can only hope that Bird will come close to his production of 2015...and I actually feel a little sorry for Sanchez because the expectations are so high after what he did last year. His 20 HRs in 50 games projects to over 60 HRs a year...sorry, but that's not gonna happen. I'll gladly take 25-30 HRs this year with a BA of .275 and an OBP of .350 and an OPS of .875 from "The Sanchise" this year.
I tried to stay detached but 1st Spring Game and I'm sucked back in for season # 62. At Field Level from Girardi down to the players there is much to like. Unfortunately the "Brass is not to be trusted.
I think I get it Cage, I think......? Not really sure, let me ask my wife. Kim: "you're my youngest son asshole".... I guess I do get it, I guess....(chuckling)...! Now if I could just find someone worth trading BB cards with....which would either be one of those kids, who are of retirement age. Hell, I'd even ride my Sting Ray across town like of olde, to trade cards. Well maybe not the sting ray, unless it's a Chevy.
ST Roster guys/gals http://m.yankees.mlb.com/roster/ and- http://m.yankees.mlb.com/nyy/roster/nri/ ^^^... Michael, was it just me, or did the flock crowd fly the coup early. Seemed like there were a lot of empty seats early on. Latter on no doubt, a helluva lot of empty seats. Whatever happened to leaving when the Janitors need you to move out of your seat, and you spend the next half hour evading security to watch post game events? Attendance was supposedly 8, 845 peeps, or tickets sold, my guess is tix sold, not head count??? Supposedly the renovated field holds: 11,026 peeps. Seemed like a lot more than 2, 181 empty seats.
Supposedly they renovated George Steinbrenner Field as per Meredith Marakovitz. I stopped there once in my brief stint in Florida and took pictures although I was living in Sarasota. The place was like a museum last off season and have no idea what they did since then.
Fun thread, sorry to miss the game. Day 2 here of expat living, won't get my internet installed until freakin March 9th. But have my slingbox up an running back home so I'll be able to get some games here in Deutschland.
