It seems to me that Dame and Neil did exactly what they were supposed to do..... lose games so we get a decent lottery pick.

Dame shouldn't be held accountable.... he should be applauded for doing what's necessary to improve this team!

On most nights, Dame and CJ outscore their opposing guards so what's the big deal? What we need is a PF who scores and we're good.

I'm pretty sure Dame would punch you in the face if you told him his poor defense is because of lack of effort. That guy wants to win more then anybody and knows that the poor defense from the guards is a large contributor to our poor season. If he just simply needed to put more effort into the defensive end for us to win more games he would have done that by now. It's ludicrous to think he would simply ignore such a glaring issue that has lead to public scrutiny for years (something he is known to use as fuel). Player development is the coaches job, the effort is there the teaching isn't. He needs to work directly with a defensive centered coach for an extensive period of time, which is something we haven't had in his position since his time here.

Lack of effort is what fans use when they can't correctly diagnose the problem so they resort to the easiest way to blame the players due to their own frustration.

This is also the coach that has nurtured Meyers Leonard into a homeless man's Andrea Bargnani

And to think Leonard came into this league with more talent than anyone since Michael Jordan.

That's bullshit. Just about every game I've seen Dame give up half way through a screen and just jog behind the action - not even bothering to try to catch up to the play.

The whole team plays in spurts and plays with a 'If they think they're beaten, why try' attitude. It's a holdover from the Aldridge, Batum led teams. To kool for Skool to be seen getting clowned. Seen it game in, game out.

It's the main reason I want to see a coaching change this offseason - regardless if there is to be wholesale player changes or not.

So it's Terry's fault he stands thete and lets his guy blow by him? Got it.

I am guessing he wouldn't punch me. I don't think he's that defensive.

Maybe Terry doesn't have the balls to do that to his franchise player. It has happened before.

I bet Pop wouldn't have any problem jump his franchise player.
