Well I was hoping to work out a trade somehow, but it appears his Jersey has as much negative value as his nba contract. I have zero takers....

That would make me burn it in spite. Nah. He simply doesnt have the footwork or the skills to keep up with the speed of the game. Unfortunately he is way too reactionary. He pissed me off when he missed a coupled of great dishes right under the hoop and instead turning it over because he wasnt ready for a great pass. His head is def got something going on that he cant see the game and get ahead of it to project where he should be and what is going to happen. He hasnt figured it out yet and has actually regressed. I, one of his biggest fans, have zero hope left for a a career anything more than a towel waiving, bench riding, waiting for injury to play player.
His shot and his size will keep him in the NBA though and is the only thing that is going to allow us to dump him onto another team.

I saw someone at the game Thursday wearing a Nurkic sleeved jersey, but I couldn't tell if it was a custom replica or authentic.

The Gasols. Marc is actually who Nurk is reminding me most of.

Can't say I agree with you that theres a need for another the vocal leader type on the team. I doubt us fans come close to understanding who these guys are let alone how their personalities mesh (or don't) but I really doubt there is a lack of alpha male leader types on this or most any Blazer team ever. Regardless, Nurk seems plenty confident on the court and with teammates. Hopefully that will continue to be the case & the big guy maintains focus.

The only one keeping ML in the NBA is Neil Olshey.

I'd be very concerned about trading for Butler - he won't like being #2, and won't tolerate being #3...and he shouldn't be #1. For that reason I would NOT trade CJ for him. As much as I like Harkless, and think he fits better with Dame/CJ/Nurk, I would gamble trading him plus 2 picks for Butler.

I feel like Nurk has re-energized the team. He gives them new dimensions they didn't have before. He certainly makes the game a lot more interesting when he's in the game. I think everyone groans a little bit inside when Meyers comes in for him.

Nurk may command a big pay day when his contract is up. Neil had better clear up some space.

I actually never said we did. I was questioning another poster who said Nurk could be the leader on this team.

It's nice to see unselfish play that complements the rest of the team. Nurk's inside game, defense, and court awareness are certainly a welcome addition to the puzzle.

Maybe after that trade, we can do Meyers Leonard and a pick for blake griffin?

I love how he gets low and backs people down without an obvious butt bump like Shaq always got away with.

From his time in Denver, but look at him talking shit to deandre after every basket. Pretty sure at one point he tells him "I'm better than you, fuckin shut up." The minute he does this as a blazer....it's over, he will officially be the best blazer ever.

The moves were good and all, but 15 points in the 4th quarter of a 12-20 point defecit, and most with Jordan not out there
