What's hilarious regarding Crabbe is everyone was loving him last season, yet he's one of the most hated on players this season. What changed? Certainly not his play. He's even better this year.

Because they think the 70 Million he got is on the old salary cap. It's a perception thing.

"He doesn't create for himself" is the dumbest argument I've ever heard, like the only way for a player to be quality scorer in the NBA is to beat guys off the dribble.

I bet you if Crabbe scored like 3-4 more points a game they wouldn't say shit. Not thinking he plays with one of those most shoot first players in the league (dame and Cj)

Thank you. Bonesjones wants him to go one on one and kill players like he's Paul George or something lol

Crabbe is like Korver, JJ Reddick, etc so please use him like that

And he's more than just catch and shoot. He's got a dribble pull-up, he's got a floater, he was effective running the pick and roll with Ed Davis last season, and he's awesome running off of screens. Living in Cali, I watched a lot of him in college and he was deadly in those situations and its translated to the NBA as well. How is that not creating for himself btw? He's doing most of the work, running around. All a big does is set a screen and all the ballhandler does is pass him the ball.

I Watched just the first half, the Knicks don't have much so it's not really a good sample size but what I liked - and I'm talking about my argument in the other thread that Napier should play when Dame or CJ sit instead of the Crabbe and Turner lineup - is that when Stotts did use that ET-Crabbe lineup it was usually with Aminu at the 4 and Leonard at the 5. This makes it kind of acceptable to me, it gives us enough spacing and creativity to make this somehow work

    LMFAO.

I just want him to handle the ball like an NBA guard. He has one of the worst handles in the NBA for a 2-guard. He can't attack the rim at all, and isn't as good of a shooter coming off screens.

He's also only an average mid-range shooter.

You give him more shots, his efficiency goes down. You give him a bigger role, his efficiency goes down. The only reason he shoots such a high percentage is that CJ and Dame create wide open looks for him.

Crabbe is not Korver or Redick. The dude shoots 44% from 3, but only makes 1.5 a game. Small sample size. If Lillard only shot wide open spot up 3s, he'd shoot just as well as Crabbe. But somebody has to create shots, and it's sure as hell not gonna be Crabbe.

There's more to basketball than a percentage. Don't sit here saying "BonesJones wants..." then make up bullshit.

I don't think he's good off of screens at all.
Let's look at Crabbes ORTG when shooting from mid-range and floater areas:

    3ft-10ft: 80 ORTG
    10ft-16ft: 90 ORTG
    16ft-3pt: 88 ORTG

So yes, he knows how to pump fake, dribble, then shoot, but he's not effective at it.

The stats show that a Crabbe dribble pull-up and a Crabbe floater are bad shots.

@Scalma @Po'sFinest Would both of you really make the argument that Crabbe is the best shooter in the entire league?! Better than Curry? Thompson? McCollum? Korver? Redick???

When you have the tools defense is all about effort which he doesn't show. Yes he is a great SPOT shooter, but its the only think he does well. We cannot pay 18M someone thats just shoots, then lets bring RayRay back from the dead and pay him a fortune. He didnt improve any other aspect of his game at an acceptable level.

Scalma has a hard dick for Crabbe for whatever reason. No point in debating it since he puts people on ignore for disagreeing with him about Crabbe

I consider great shooting as 3 point shooting. Flawed, but that's the syance I have. It's a stupid stance to say he is the best shooter. Especially since he is only the 3rd best. Ahead of everyone on your list except Korver.

Crabbe has easily lived up to his contract

I might agree, if he took a high enough volume of shots to make the connection rate of value. 1.6 threes made per game is not particularly significant. If he were taking 9 a game and making 4, that would have a much greater impact on the team.

Dame is averaging 31-6-5 on nearly 50/40/90 in 15 games after the all star break. This is quite possibly the best stretch of his career so far. His efficiency is staggering. This improvement has brought his overall season numbers up to 27-6-5 pm 45/37/90 shooting splits.

But he missed three free throws on Tuesday, and shot a 30 footer with 18 left on the shot clock, so he's a bum.
