Well as an alum of the Ducks I can say I watch every game. And although I am shocked they won and held Kansas to 60, I am not so sure Kansas choked. The Ducks are so well coached nothing really surprises me with them. Unbelievable performance in front of all those Kansas fans.
One thing about bell I think he can play Pf in the NBA need to beef up some but almost everyone that come out of college. But what I like he has great timing on his blocks and you don't teach that part of the game either you have or not. Just by his rim protection and rebounding and what he show tonight his stock rose alot. His offense will get better in time.
the one I was impressed with was #7, the chasedown block on the breakaway. Not only was it completely clean, he changed his angle at the last half-second and blocked it solidly with his off hand. I almost woke up my kids on that one.
The thing is, there's something to be said for 7-10 or so on the bench being on rookie contracts. If he's a late-first/2nd draftee, making rookie-scale for 4 years doing Ed Davis things, that's a heckuva bonus. Multiply that by 2 or 3 and you have the start of an ability to pay 1-6 big money.
Oh I agree. I am happy for him. Last year at this time I never thought he would be in this position. I would love to see him return for another year....but that ain't happening.
Word is KBW wants to redshirt. They have a senior tranfser coming in......... Along with Cage Plus White who transfered from Georgetown.
Yeah. I read that on Quack Attack.... Who is it though, I've looked through the bigs transferring and none of them look like there are coming to Eugene.
Top 10 in blocks, rebounds and steals. Plays all out every minute of every game. Tough. Athletic. Smart. Sign me up for Jordan Bell if we keep Cleveland's pick or buy an early second.
Seriously, that was a road game and Kansas had most of the benefit of the whistle. Oregon simply didn't blink and rose to the occasion as a more mature team should.
