No movies, but I have a great book in progress. The Professor and the Madman.
It is about creating the Oxford English Dictionary.
    Fascinating!

I finished "the cruise of the Snark" by Jack London...you should seriously read this book...it's the best book about a guy building his own boat and sailing the oceans since James Slocum wrote his about his oak boat the Sprague.....London's visualizations of the South Seas in 1914 were maybe some of the best writing I've ever read...it's full of knowledge about seamanship and the physics of the ocean....his description of surfing is a masterpiece as is his description of the Molokai leper colony..

Libraries are a socialist plot to force people to read.

I buy books and donate them to the library after I read them...it's my version of a trickle down theory

Perhaps you are right. I find them useful, in my way.
Which causes me to think of my sister in law, well my wife's sister in law. She was the Directory of the Public Library in DeKalb Illinois until last year I think. Anyway, the last time they were
here visiting, she was just bubbling over about her great accomplishment, getting an brand new Library built in DeKalb. Multi-millions went into this marvel.

It has state of the art access for the disabled!
I asked, does that mean, people in a wheel chair can get to every book in the library?
    Oh yes!

Well you probably have a clue about what happened next.
Thinking of how my use of the library has changed over the years, I just had to ask, Why do we need this access for everyone let alone the disabled?

Well she got pissed! I mean pissed! She has not spoken to me since!

But, I still do not quite understand. I don't go to the library a browse around for a book anymore. I do it online in a multitude of ways. When I want a book to keep and many times I prefer it
to be computer searchable, but if not, buy the book. If I don't want a copy to keep, or don't know, order it online from the library, then they let me know when I can pick it up.
When I pick it up, a person hands it to me. So the library physically could be an ancient warehouse that only smart Chimps could access to get the book.

But I didn't get that far into it, before pissed cut it off.
    People are funny.

Ps: Both of them are solid Democrats. He a Professor, department chair, and her, a Librarian.

Seen it many times. It's an under appreciated Scientology gay love story. ;)

Ha! Yeah it's pretty close to L.Ron "Bubbard's" life. But I thought it was much more than that. Thought it was about human nature and the relationship of two men who follow different paths and instincts. Joaquin Phoenix blew me away.

Love this film! Saw it at the local art house theatre last year and then immediately had to take my girls to see it. They loved it from the first moment Connor awkwardly tries to sing A-Ha's "Take On Me" in front of Raphina.

We watch the blu-ray every couple of months and sing along! Just a joyful and refreshingly optimistic film about first love.

Don't waste your money on The Circle. Kinda interesting, until the end when it had nothing to say, no payoff, no reveal, it just whimpered away. Stupid.

Lost City of Z was very good though.

Saw Fate of the Furious, they outdid themselves again. Awesome movie. Hillarious. Action packed.

Saw Rogue One. Its good for a non jedi star wars film. Though, I got bored after a bit.

Saw Shut in. Never watch this movie. Horrible

I thought Patriots Day with Mark Wahlberg was pretty good movie. But it didn't say anything about the bombers parents in the film.

I read that over 10 years ago. It is a fascinating read and a dictionary will help you get through it.
