That game serves for me as confirmation that Meyers is playing injured. There is no other explanation for the only 7-footer left on the team to only play 11 minutes. If he were physically able to set screens and bang for rebounds, he'd have played more. Meyers hasn't lived up to expectations, but a healthy Meyers isn't THAT bad.

If he really is hurt, then I give him credit for being a trooper (I guess?), but on the other hand Neil really didn't take care of business providing enough depth for this roster. Once it was clear Festus wasn't going to play much earlier in the year, it seems like he could have at least found a guy in the D-League for emergency depth, no?
Not worried. Just going to enjoy the rest of the season, however it unfolds. Olshey has options to add center depth this summer.
I would use ML my center I really would. I would place his ass right in the center of the bench. Yes he is hurt but I properly could count on one hand that he actually had a good game in last 5 years.
Yeah, but I think he hamstrung himself by getting the team salary so close to the luxury tax that he didn't have room to maneuver once it became clear that Ezeli wasn't going to be able to play. I'm hoping he pulls someone in (Alexander?) on a ten-day contract to finish the season, but I'm not sure of the cap implications of that.
Not sure what your triggering response is, but knock yourself out. Leonard with a healthy back is good for 10-15 minutes of meh off the bench. With a bad back, you get what you saw last night. Regardless of what I may think of his basketball skills, my reading on Leonard is that he's a really good guy. While I'd just as soon see him play elsewhere next season, I wish him nothing but the best.
There is a reason Meyers doesn't get big minutes, he doesn't produce when he gets time on the floor. If he did he would get more minutes. As it is now he doesn't deserve minutes at all, ever.
It triggers me because there are many people in this world who are injured and have just as physical or even more physical jobs than Nards does. Those people like myself still go to work because life doesn't get put on hold because your hurt. Before the all-star break this forum was buzzin over Lillard playing through his ankle injury. Posters were saying, "Omg he's hurting the team should sit him". As I said in the thread posted yesterday, Kudos to Nards playing through the injury. But being injured isn't a valid excuse(especially when you're an NBA player with a guaranteed contract) for playing hurt when his play is hurting the team. We'll have to agree to disagree on when Nards is healthy he's good for 10-15minutes of meh off the bench. Simply because tbh when he isn't hurt(which so far in his NBA career is rare) he's pretty shit 90% of the time anyway. Matt Bonner > Nards.
He should, but he can't. What would we have left, Vonleh and Aminu at Center/PF... At this point we need to be rooting very hard for several more Denver losses because I'm not sure how we win with no bigs. Is the magic number 4 now?
What? In professional sports it's the most valid "excuse" there is. The amount of money he's making is completely irrelevant.
I disagree. He should and he can. I'd much rather see 30+ minutes of Vonleh at center than any minutes from Leonard right now. Last night, Vonleh and Leonard combined for 38 minutes--why can't Vonleh take all of those?
No. As I understand it, we were 33K below the luxury tax threshold - can even get a DLeaguer for that.
