At now our magic number is 4. We have this games to play: Vs Wolves Vs Jazz Vs Spurs Vs Pelicans The Nuggets have: AT Rockets VS Pelicans VS OKC AT Dallas AT OKC So... all we need is a combination of 4. W or L all matters for us. The rockets have to count down to 3 tonight, if dont we are real fucked. I will support the rockets tonight. Im living in Brasil, so its a little hard to get news from here, i wish i live in PDX. Im a real trail blazer fan. I watch every game, and i feel the pain when we lost. I really hope we can make the playoffs. Thats my collection. I also have a CJ McCollum jersey, just like the lillard black jersey, no swingman (not yet) CJ Tshirt. (NOTE: I know my english is not so good, in a conversation im better...)
i dont know what i want more.... to miss the playoffs and get 14th pick or make the playoffs, get swept, and get the 16th pick.....
im leaning towards that. i mean, we are just going to get blown out of the water if Nurkic isnt playing. if he does, it might help a little, but not enough to beat them. in all honesty, it would be better for us to miss the playoffs at this point.
I'm on the "I don't give a shit either way" train. If we make he playoffs cool, season gets extended a week and we may see Nurkic. If not, cool, we get a better draft pick. I like the direction we're headed either way.
How is this not obvious? Lose, miss playoffs and they don't rush Nurk back. Then a chance at number 1. Duh
When Nurk was playing and we were rolling, I thought it might be fun to see how we fare against the Warriors. We played them pretty well last year, and Nurk is a beast. But without Nurk.... this just seems like a waste of time.
Exactly why I'd be OK with Denver passing us. I can't help but fear further injury if Nurk comes back quickly from his mini-fracture. If he has no choice but to rest it until training camp, I'll breathe a little easier.
We aren't getting the #1 pick or near it unless we trade for it. The difference between making the playoffs is miniscule and it really doesn't matter if we get the 14th or 16th...if Neil wants to move up he will orchestrate a trade and make it happen. I'm all for the playoffs. And when we make it, Nurk will be there
Not saying this type of situation would happen with our pick, but I remember Drummond going like 2 picks before the Meyers pick a few years ago. The 14th pick over the 16th could be bigger than you think. A higher pick to package with the others or players would be worth more too in a trade.
What if we take whoever at the 14th and then it turns out the guy that went 16th becomes a future all star
Then tough shit. My sister would get what she wanted for Christmas and so would I. Then she'd be pissed that mine was better. In this scenario that is our fault if we take the wrong guy. If we get the best pick we can, it is on us.
