Trump moved thousands of troops to the Polish border soon after he took the job...that pissed off Putin..has nothing to do with the chess match I think Putin is involved in....Trump has proven over and over that he's flappable...he leads with his chin...Assad isn't Putin's pal...he's a means to a military base and naval shipyard for Putin's bigger goals and a chance for Russia to control the pipelines and keep our Turkish missile bases in check
So, Putin's game is to get Trump to do all sorts of things that pisses Putin off? Trump, so far, has proven he's listening to both his civilian and military advisors on these issues.

In late September 2015, Moscow went as far as to intervene in the conflict on Assad's behalf, waging a scorched-earth campaign on rebel-held enclaves — and ultimately winning back Syria's largest city, Aleppo — that remains ongoing. "Russian officials have said similar things before, but everything we have witnessed in Russian policy over the past six years indicates that Putin is staunchly supportive of Assad and will go to great lengths to keep him in power, no matter how many people he massacres through the most bestial means," said Mark Kramer, program director for the Project on Cold War Studies at Harvard's Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies.
We should open our doors to its refugees. There wouldn't be any refugees if it weren't for the previous administration.
I'm not in any Trump club. My thinking is the refugees are our responsibility because Obama: 1) encouraged revolt, 2) armed factions, 3) declared we were going to overthrow Assad's government, 4) handed over the combat missions to Russia, enabling them to establish military presence, What was likely a few violent protests turned into a bloody civil war. And Assad would have squashed ISIS before it got out of hand. I have zero interest in putting the people who caused all this shit in the world in power again. The previous 8 years, I've seen enough.
You need to go further back than Obama and Assad....you need to go back to Bush Sr and Assad and follow the yellow brick road....Assad is completely responsible for his civil war, his choices of allies and his tendency to practice genocide with chemical weapons......for some reason you can't face the real evil here....it's Assad period.
There were no bombs dropping on Syria from Bush Sr until Obama. It started with Obama. You refuse to acknowledge the inconvenient truth.

I hate this sorry ass debate tactic. It's weak and typical of Conservatives. What did you say then about Obama @Denny Crane?
While president, Obama conducted about 6,000 air strikes in Syria. Since becoming president, Trump has conducted about 1,500 in Syria. However, this was the first air strike against the Assad regime. All prior attacks in Syria by both presidents where against ISIS.
So 59 tomahawk missiles are not enough to put an airbase out of commission for more than 24 hours? SAD! barfo
