Yeah, if they bench Curry, Durant and Green for the fourth quarters and don't play Klay at all, the Blazers should burn away the hype. I don't think the Warriors are invulernable, but they're a lot, lot better than Portland. And just about every team. Unless they choke, but that doesn't tend to happen in the opening round.
We are 16-4 since the start of March. The Warriors are trying to work KD back into the rotation and he looks like he isn't fully better yet. I think we have a legit shot at making one of the first two games close and if all goes right stealing a game in the warriors buildling.
Maybe Chuck likes us, but he definitely hates GSW so we could see this coming. He never says a good thing about them.
That wasn't a choke job, though. That was a predictable turn of events (I can say that because I predicted it here) resulting from Draymond Groin's suspension and what it did to home court momentum swings.
Chuck has Nurk fever. He sees how Nurk opens up our offense and makes our guards better, and that with the dearth of true post players, he gives us an advantage at that position. They asked him his opinion on how the Blazers would do IF Nurk is healthy, then ignored the Nurk effect. Smith especially went off talking about stretch bigs. Nurk is not a stretch big, dumbass. It's not like Chuck said we'd win the series, even with Nurk. He said two games. Sometimes people are so wrapped up in their own opinions they don't listen to what someone else is saying. Those guys on that show do that constantly. It's annoying.
I predicted it after Bogut got injured. With no rim protection, the last three games of that series became a lay up drill for LeBron and company as the Cavs outscored the Warriors by an average of 17 points in the paint per game. This year Bogut is gone. Pachulia is not the same level defensively. McGee is a shot blocker, but not a great pick and roll defender. If Nurk can play, it will be interesting to see what kind of impact he has. At the very least, I think we'd see a lot less of GSW's small ball "death lineup". BNM
Bandwagon fans are very entertaining. Today's laughter brought to you by the Warriors "fan" who thinks Javale McGee is going to completely shut down Nurkic.
The only way the Warriors are going to neutralize Nurkic is to run plays to blow past our guards and force Nurk to contest, getting him in foul trouble. Will they do that, or will they be content to run their three point game?
The only thing that can shut down Nurkic is an MRI. Even there, I suspect that his strength may allow him to rearrange his bone molecules as needed to get the desired result.
