I guess 80s bleed into 90s - I thought this was from the 80s, and the hideous one I posted was 90s. But I suppose this could be early 90s and the other late 90s? Either way, this one SLAYS all the more modern designs. I hate "mean, tough, extreme" logos - the only thing worse are the Clippers and Thunder "logos", if they can even be called that.
I still like the current alternate logo best and think with some minor modifications it could have been a winner. It had timber, it had a wolf and it had a basketball. Seems pretty spot on. When you think about it, it's probably the most descriptive logo in the NBA. They are a team named the Timberwolves that play basketball. That logo said it all, without using a single word. The new logo lacks the timber. Do they want to be known simply as the Wolves, now? BNM
Cuban says he wanted to sign Tony Romo to a 10-Day contract but the league would not allow it. Weird situation, he is an athlete and played basketball in HS (rumor is he was quite good). I guess the league viewed this as too much of a publicity stunt and didn't want to open the floodgates for Kanye West or Drake 10 day contracts.
Sounds like Larry Sanders is really impressing teams...... http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...ers-plan-waive-larry-sanders-sign-edy-tavares
Kings had 8 players in double figures including 30 points from Buddy Hield in a win tonight. I think their future is bright now tha Cousins is gone. Not sure how things will work out in New Orleans.
They should have tanked better this year though. They will end up with what, no. 9? And probably no. 12 from Pelicans. Could have well been something like no. 5 for them with better tanking.
They should do their best to extend Collison, would be a perfect rotation guard, especially if they get one of Ntikilina, Smith or Fox and develop them going forward. The second pick they have to use on a small forward and pray that they see Isaac fall to them or just get Justin Jackson. Skal has been good lately, hasn't he?
Remember when people were trashing the Kings for the Boogie trade? They got a nice young player and a 1st for a guy no one wanted cause his agent told every team not to trade for him. Heild and the 10th pick is a pretty good return for that
I hope top 3 picks go to Boston, Miami and Sacramento. Boston because I want Brooklyn to look even more ridiculous for trading their future for three 35-year olds. Miami because they actually did try to win and although they will come short in the end, they made a great effort which I hope is rewarded by this strange turn of events. Sacramento because they had the guts to trade someone who appeared to be franchise cornerstone for a struggling rookie and a pick, a move which everyone ridiculed. I don't love them but I want them to catch a break for once. Alternatively, give the third pick to Philadelphia who finally tried winning this season rather than tanking so deep. Just please don't give it to Suns or Lakers.
