I'm noticing a prob with attachments not posting.... guess forbes doesn't see the decline in the owners ability to deliver, or the brain dead GM, who can't deliver, or the new multi-billion dollar stadium that lacks soul.... the ghosts of the bambino, iron horse, yankee clipper, the commerce comet, mr. re2pect, mo'; have moved on .... here's to baby bombers... in time they should deliver- ...^^^
I always wondered hoe the "Boss" with all his ideas of Yankee Tradition did not have the stadium rebuilt on the same playing field as the '76 renovated model. But at least the current stadium in still in the Bronx and was Christened right when it opened. My thought on the 'old" Yankee Stadium was that if baseball stadiums were all Churches Yankee Stadium would be akin to St. Peters in Rome. I have not been to the new stadium but from photos and televised games I've seen that I'd have the same take. '10 through '12 seasons saw the team in decline, '13 was a dead drop, '14 through most of '16 disappointing. At least now we have some players we can cheer for but fearful of ownership and above field level management screwing up what is trending nice for a change. I will state this though, if I ever do come to a game at Yankee Stadium, despite the best efforts of Hal and to provide Wi-Fi, I will be a device free Yankee Fan Traditionalist.
^^^^ I like your take YF. Akin to Saint Peter's Basilica, a engineering masterpiece, stunning to see, be a part of time, time that's historical, time that's almost eternal...
