@Sarni Kidding doesn't cut it with some people...you will instantly be corrected and told what you think. :D Of course I'm kidding now as well but it seems that needs to be clarified.

I'm not sure what CJ's actual cap hold would have been, but someone would have offered him a max deal just to fuck up our cap space. And regardless, why would anyone sign here this summer when we couldn't get jack shit last summer, fresh off a trip to the second round?

Plus we probably keep Plumlee (don't forget his caphold) if we don't have cap issues. So no Nurk.

There's an alternate reality question worthy of a poll: Would you rather have Nurkic and our current cap hell, or Plumlee but not have Crabbe, Turner, and Leonard?

    Easy choice for me.

    Nurk > all.

I don't think our cap situation is all that bad. A year of lack of flexibility or so and that's it. This $130 mil number is so overstated. A few teams in the league will get to that number before the start of this season.

Watch guys like George Hill/Otto Porter/KCP/etc all get ~25 mil/yr and our contracts will start looking a lot more palatable.

Well shit! Are you telling me that if I post something that's wrong I can just say I was kidding and it's an automatic mulligan and I can clown on the person for not realizing that I was being sarcastic and not ignorant? That's fucking brilliant! Why didn't I think of that?

That's probably spot on. I would still prefer to have at least an ounce of flexibility than trash contracts we will find it hard to trade. I can sort of live with Turner's deal, he's been in the league for a long time, is a decent player and would probably be worth $10M in a normal market. Matching Brooklyn's ridiculous offer for Crabbe was always crazy. And why did we offer Leonard $40m / 4 yrs contract when he would not have got it anywhere and did not show he was worth it.

I think Crabbe is going to be traded, and if we get anything of value for him, it was a win because letting him walk for nothing would have really sucked.

I hope you are right. I also feel he will be on the trade block if we get a guard in the draft (Ferguson, Hart).

The dude was one of the best three point shooters in the league (statistically) this season. He has value. He's young. If we can get a pick or a prospect.... awesome. I refuse to grade that signing until after this summer. If we're still stuck with him going into next season, then I'll be more critical of the move.
