I'm sorry but games like this are a lot on Hank as well. Six goals allowed in game two where he wasn't good and while he had some nice saves today he was scrabbling a lot today as well. They had a nice start and a 2-0 lead but Hank giving the puck away lead to a 2-1 game. He completely overplayed the second goal by Hoffman and that third goal was just thrown to the net and even with the deflection it should've been stopped. The fourth goal wasn't his fault just horrible luck. The overtime winner was very very soft. Girardi should've played the man there because the Rangers had numbers but that's not a good goal to allow at all.

Nothing to say really. Team was good enough to win this series. Outplayed the Sens in LARGE stretches. Hank let in some terrible goals in Ottawa and they couldn't play well when it mattered most (late in 3rd).

I suspect they will win Game 6 but they seem to get ZERO breaks in this building. I mean none. Game 1 fluke goal of Hanks back for the game winner. Game 2 it was just a deflection fest. Tonight every Ottawa goal was a bit flukey even the one that they executed a great 3 way passing on as the shooter flubbed the shot and it hit the post as it goes in. Then on the last minute tying goal the puck pin-balled off 3 guys for another EN goal. Then in OT they hit a crossbar and score a game winner that was a high stick. Turris comes in (possibly offsides -its close) and Girardi blocks the shot and it goes right to him.

Rangers played well enough in this series accumulatively to win this in 5 but due to piss poor play when it mattered most and some flukey plays at best it goes 7 games and they could lose Tues in 6.

One more thing - Canadian Tire is turning into the Bell Center for Hank

I'll tell you one thing though, Hank has got to make an f'ing save also. We never get on the guy because of how great he has been for 12 years, but he has allowed 4 or 5 very stoppable goals in the past two games in Ottawa, including both OT winners.

Yup, it's his new horror building. Eleven goals allowed in the last two games is unacceptable.

He looked to be scrambling all day and unsure of his positioning. The fact is he's as much to blame for the loses as anyone else. There's no sugar coating that.

I wouldn't put game 6 at more than 50/50..as you know the Sens want no part of a game 7. I think it's going to be alot tougher than games 3/4.

Can't say the series is over because we are the better team, and have dominated the games in NY, but we are very long odds to win it now. If we win this series it will be a statistical miracle. Down 2-0, and then down 3-2 after losing game 5 tied 2-2.

Odds are strong we lose, and what a darn shame. Only word I can come up with because we have zero business losing this series...without a doubt the better team. That's what makes the NHL playoffs so great AND so awful, the better teams gets beat WAY more than in any other sport.

I think we are favored in game 6. Not a lock win, but unless we have nothing left after another terrible L, that is no 50/50 game. We are favored to win it, but we should have also won games 2 and 5, so it may not mean much.

I fully expect the series to go seven games. Since it was mentioned teams that win game 5 win the series 78% of the time.

Apparently you can go offside if you control the puck?

Is what it is, maybe if they get it to 7 they can find a way but i don't have alot of confidence they even get there. I did predict Rangers in 7 so we'll see.

A player who is actually in possession and control of the puck prior to entering the attacking zone and precedes the puck into the zone is not considered “off-side.”

The Rangers just had some really horrific luck. On the tying goal Brassard soccer kicks one which if it goes in would've been a no goal. It ends up going off a body deflects towards Glass skating towards the net and then it ends up in the net. In overtime obviously a half in lower and Miller has the game winner. If Grabner waits a hair longer to knock the puck down it's not a high stick and he has the game winner. Just terrible luck.

I guess with Grabner he had to tip it at that height or it would've gone by him.

I'm pretty confident they not only win G6 but I bet it's similar to G 3-4.

I have zero confidence they can win in Ott in G7 though

Thank you Steve Valiquette for telling it like it is. The Rangers need to stand the hell up when they're defending their own net on the 6 on 5s. They're always falling all over the place.
