Rookie Davis was an 'unknown' prospect in Yankee system when traded to Cincinnati in the original Chapman deal. I'm hoping Tanaka has a complete game up his sleeve. Girardi's hoping......too! Oh, Lillie..........how's that lasagna coming along?
Old Dave Dudley Country Tune "There Ain't No Easy Run". I watch "Quick Pitch" every morning and this Reds Team needs watching. And yep, Tank needs to fire a good one tonight, I saw hicks score the winning run at 2 something so the boys had an 0-dark-thirty arrival in Cincy. Go Yankees.
This should be interesting after that marathon last night. I remember falling asleep and then waking up with the game still tied in the 16th. Said forget this I'll see what happened in the morning.
Just an oddity.......Yankees go to Cubs, first place team........moving on to Redlegs, now in first place...... coming home to play Astros, first place team. These Yankees are being tested in early May 2017.

Good start and off to immediate 3-0 lead. Could have been even more except chase hit into rally killing dp. Come on Tanaka. One negative already is P.O.S. Angel Hernandez and his imaginative strike zone behind the plate.
Just need to score early and often. Good to see Sanchez starting to heat up. I stayed up all night watching game and slept most of the day. Now raring and ready to go
I watch "Quick Pitch" every AM. Every time Great American Ball Park highlights are shown the place seems empty. reminds me of Tropicana.
Great job by tanaka getting out of bags loaded and no out jam. First time i've seen tanaka show that kind of emotion in his yankee tenure. Of course part of the jam is having to play by these NL pusssy rules where pitchers that never are on offense have to hit and run bases and someone who bats in your lineup as a dh either can't play or has to be used someplace he's a liability because of it which happened twice already with holiday that inning.
