http://nbadraft.theringer.com/ has Jonah Bolden all the way up to #27! That is the highest I've seen him yet and goes with what one NBA guy said would happen by Draft time.

They also have Jordan Bell at #28.

First of all--Hell no to drafting Luke Kennard at 15 over Justins Jackson and Patton or Jarrett Allen.
Second--Don't hear a lot about Tony Bradley (whom they have at 22, which seems high), but I might be more interested in him than Anigbogu (20).
Third--interesting that they have both Bolden and Bell in the first round; I'd definitely want one of them over TJ Leaf at 26.
Fourth--I still contend that there will be more legit NBA players taken in the first half of the second round than the second half of the first based on what I'm seeing in most of these mocks this year. Probably one of many, many, many reasons I'll never be an NBA GM.

I like that they aren't doing a chalk mock but I think Frank Jackson goes higher than that and if we take Luke Kennard at 15 I will puke.

I youtubed a Bolden game last night. It was a game earlier in the season, but it didn't leave me impressed at all. I'm going to have to find a more recent game to watch and see where all this hype is coming from.

I get the impression that they are just ranking the players and not slotting for any specific team; I notice they don't even list the team drafting at each spot. I don't think there is any way we are taking Kennard or Leaf.

You might be right on just ranking the players part and not taking into account team need but I do see team name next to the picture of each player.

Team need/fit comes closer to the Draft. Right now it is just a player ranking lined up with the Draft order.

I think the hype is that he has the ability to do some things that many players can't do regardless of the level of competition. His jab-step for a big man, well, there just aren't a lot of bigs that can do that. His range is impressive and his ability to switch out is solid enough especially given his length.

FoxSports--5 options for the Trail Blazers for pick #15

Basic premise of this analysis is that we are well-positioned to make a big move this offseason, and if we do draft at 15, upside is more important than safety. Has analysis on Allen, Anigbogu, Anunoby, Collins (J.), and Leaf.

I find it hard to believe there isn't some sort of trade made. Either consolidation of 2 picks for a better one or included in a trade for another player.

"Again, the Blazers don’t need another scorer to infringe upon what Damian Lillard, C.J. McCollum and Jusuf Nurkic are able to do offensively. Furthermore, the Blazers shot 37.5 percent from three in the 2017 regular season (sixth in the NBA), which means spacing is the least of their problems.

But a team can never have too many guys with the uncanny ability to get buckets, and T.J. Leaf gets buckets from almost anywhere on the court. Leaf’s abilities would fit just fine in Portland’s offense."

Would he infringe upon...... or help Dame, CJ, and Nurk? With his passing and spacing I only see it as helping them on offense.

    Warriors didn't "need" KD either.

    Give. Me. Paul. George.

Here's what I don't like about Allen (from the Ringer mock):
    • Intangibles are concerning. He’s not physical, avoids contact inside. Classic big who wants to be a guard. (Does that remind anyone of somebody?)

I would not be really unhappy if the Blazers ended up with John Collins (though preferably at 20). These guys like his athletic ability but I have read it's more his instincts that make him a great rebounder. And he is a hell of a mid-range shooter. We have been lacking that in bigs for a long time. His bad defense is possibly from bad coaching and needing to learn some patience.
And I like a big who can shoot free throws.

We are trading the picks and players for PG.
End of discussion. I know all.

PG makes me nervous. If he doesn't absolutely agree to sign a new deal then don't trade for him. period. We need more than one year for that many assets. If he agrees then we have a very serious team to work with.

It will be interesting to see what teams are going to offer Indy for PG. Some people are going to shoot for the moon for him. Indy is in a good position to rebuild quickly.

I don't think they'll get that much in return unless he agrees to an extension with that team. No team will give up that much for a one year rental.

They save one pick, strike lighting by drafting Jonah Bolden who because of some production and the Blazers 58 wins, gets 2nd place in Rookie of the Year voting.
    Is that specific enough? :smiley-sunce:

Of the 5 guys was list I would put in order.
    1. O.G.
    2. Ike
    3. Allen
    4. Leaf
    5. Collins

But would really consider O.G. At 15.
Ike at 20 and Allen and Leaf at 26.
Collins I really not to high on.
