This is true since hockey playoffs are done without irritating slow action referees and 32 commercials an hour.

The team that won the lottery 3 times in 4 years, and then signed LBJ because he happened to be born in the state.
    vs.
the team whose star was injured for a year, and signed for way below his value, then had the cap increase more than it ever has (by a lot), and signed Durant.

So, lucky-ass team from the East vs. lucky-ass team in the West.

Is it ridiculous when there's a week or two off before the Super Bowl?

Yes, the 2 week break is nothing but commercials and talking heads. In football, one week is standard between games. In NBA, 2 days. This is absurd. There have been front page stories every day in SF Chronicle with no news.

On a more serious note, the home of LeBron James in LA was defaced with racist graffiti. Making America great again, the KKK way.

1 week is normal since that is what happens every week. Two weeks is ridiculous and loses the momentum of the playoffs.

2 weeks is not abnormal either, since every team gets a bye week at some point during the season. It's not as though teams' records are harmed by their bye weeks, so while the "playoffs" may lose momentum, I would posit that the teams themselves benefit rather than suffer.

That happens once a season...which would seem to be abnormal....or not the norm. Also, other teams are playing while a couple of teams are on a bye as opposed to 2 weeks of absolutely no football.

Normal in that it happens to every team every year.

I find it ludicrous that there's a week between the end of the conference finals and the beginning of the finals.

khloe kardashian claims she's pregnant with Tristan Thompson's baby. If true, does this mean Warriors in 4? I'll laugh if the Cavs win tonight.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
To me, it mostly boils down to two things (barring injuries--any major injuries and it's all out the window):

    1. Cavaliers' offensive rebounds
    2. Warriors' turnovers

I think that, while James is the most talented player in the league, the Warriors are clearly the most talented team in the league. It's their series to lose. Consequently, if they can control their own defensive boards and limit their turnovers to a manageable number, there really isn't much Cleveland can do. The Warriors just have more two-way stars and role-players than the Cavaliers do.

If the Warriors give up a bunch of second chance points or are careless with the ball, Cleveland can really push them. If both happen, then Cleveland has a great chance to win the series.

Consequently, I don't think the Warriors will play a ton of small ball. I think they'll use it as an occasional change of pace, but I think they're going to want Pachulia and McGee snagging defensive boards most of the game. I think Cleveland will go small more often than Golden State, with Tristan Thompson at center.
