It was thousands of years ago before we could ruin the environment. I don't know if we have any choice in what happens going forward.

We should probably try and reduce the Earth's population more than anything. The world doesn't need me or most of us.

Never saw mention of this in the Tokyo thing or this Paris accord. It does make a whole lot more sense than squeezing everyone into smaller foot prints.
Perhaps there is no money to be made. Either way though, I think the seas rise until they stop and the cycle begins again.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
That's not what I was implying, actually. I don't think Trump is intending to turn back progress on climate change, because that would suggest he has a belief on the subject one way or the other, which I don't believe. My point was that Trump can't really roll back that progress through inaction or symbolic actions, whether or not he wants to.

My opinion of why he pulled out of the Accord is that it's a win in the eyes of his base that was cost-free and easy for Trump. He'll take those every day of the week and twice on Sundays. Making substantive changes are (generally) much harder and more time-consuming. This is low-hanging fruit.

Belief? You make it sound like a religion.

No, religion is faith-based belief. You can also hold beliefs based on facts, logic and/or reason.

I believe that the Blazers finished with the Western Conference's eighth seed in 2016-17 NBA season, because it's recorded fact.

It's not my agents, it's about 200 of them that I know from an association I help run.

They all also lost their insurance and now pay much higher premiums, thanks Obama.

not sure if you consider scientific American fake news but check out their figures for 2050.....250 million earthlings displaced and forced to relocate by then...it's not just flooding in NY and Miami...the Gulf coast will be disasterous...so will many Pacific nations...also mosquito populations should pose new threats...good news for sailors is when the NW passage opens up it'll shave 4 thousand miles off the ships journey from Asia to Europe and back avoiding the Panama Canal..melting glaciers is part of the issue...tsunamis and fault lines or dramatic storms will possibly damage a lot of what we take for granted...you and I probably won't be around though. https://www.scientificamerican.com/slideshow/top-10-places-already-affected-by-climate-change/

Not sure where that comes into this topic, but okay. That is very unfortunate for them, Thanks Obama.

    >>> Are you trying to tell me the Sea covers most of the planet? Thank you for the info.

    >>> We had those damn mesquotes in Bandon Marsh two years ago. Had a hell of time convincing the state they were raising the bastards.

    >>> The NW passage was open a couple year about 5 years back but can't do in now.

    >>>Tsunamis are caused by a displacement event. Where the sea water is displaced by something, like ocean floor rises due to volcanic activity or perhaps a meteor.
The displacement has to be of a magnetude so that a surface disruption occurs. Can't see warming doing the trick.

mosquitos , dengue fever out break here on the big island last year closed schools in south kona district. I know two people that contracted the virus well. on the bright side it kept tourists off the roads southside. (we only have the Hawaii belt road going all the way around the island, two lanes of very curvy road)

Human chaos and misuse of resources doesn't help...we don't move resources around the planet very efficiently as it is...China is turning into a desert quickly..they are buying water from Scandinavia like crazy these days.

I imagine every tourist feels compelled to do it. I know I did, rent a car and drive that highway, over the top and all.

I will say I'm not to keen on the allergies getting worse. Wanted to off myself some days a month ago.

They also found mosquitos known to carry Zika just recently in N Las Vegas. Which means terrible things, like we'll have more liberals here soon.

    (Terrible microcephaly joke) haha

China and India both are going to be in deep crap when the Himalayan Glaciers no longer have rivers running out of them. Who is going to ship them the Food?
Not California! They haven't built a reservoir in 40 years. I don't think they will ship them any Delta smelt either.
But perhaps they will just out bid the locals here for the food and fair ok. It might be the low bidders here that suffer famine.
