I'm not a psychologist, but that's some cold, calculated, deplorable shit.... The judge will probably give him the maximum sentence. And he should. http://katu.com/news/local/man-in-c...he-stole-ring-backpack-from-max-stabbing-hero
I was thinking maybe this dude is homeless and I could have some mercy but if he ain't in dire need of some help......this is worse than a contractor ripping off an elderly person.
I disagree completely.... I get that this guy probably has survivor's guilt, but two other men died that day. It wasn't just him, and for him to downplay the act of courage that those men displayed, just really annoys me. Maybe he doesn't realize that he's also downplaying what those two other men died for?
He can be humble if he wants to.... but he needs to be careful not to diminish the sacrifice that those other two men made.
I read it as, it is not heroic to protect children, it is what men do. And to that end, if men are going to allow batshit crazy bastards roam freely, unimpeded even when they display unacceptable aggression and unwarranted combativeness, then they must take other practical steps to protect the children. Be armed so you present a creditable deterrent to those that would take advantage of those needing protection.
Max killer has claimed self defense, blaming survivor Micah Fletcher. "Not guilty of anything but defending myself against the violent aggression of Micah Fletcher."
This guy is batshit crazy. I wouldn't be surprised if he's deemed "Mentally Unfit", and shipped off to a hospital for the rest of his life.
Who invented the max? I don't think it was a person from a Muslim country, so really those girls had no right to even be on that train. Cultural appropriation in Portland strikes again. I stopped eating peanut butter already.
Cultural appropriation must end. I should not be able to benefit from tasty peanut butter. By giving up peanut butter, I shed some of my white oppression on black people. #woke
Telling the judge that he's not guilty and it was self defense very clearly proves that he is aware of his actions, the charges against him, and can aid in his own defense. He is legally same.
Not as dumb as this https://www.google.com/amp/www.oregonlive.com/articles/5724736/the_high_price_of_oregons_insa.amp You can also consult a lawyer but I read the law in Oregon and it clearly gives the option of being insane at the time of the crime. This incident could have snapped him back to reality. But SlyPerryMason Dog knows better.
