It's the president's responsibility to fend off foreign adversaries. Too bad Trump's not interested in that. barfo
Yes, it is an impeachable difference. If stupidity led him to commit obstruction of justice in the eyes of the House, then stupidity is impeachable. barfo
Interesting, so if Chris Matthews suddenly does see something to the Trump investigation then Marz & Denny will agree with him. Good to know.
I don't spout any more than you spout, Mr. Teapot. I don't think I've claimed that anyone is guilty - I'm eager to see the investigation continue and see what turns up. There's a lot of smoke. Maybe there's no fire. Probably there is. Since I don't want President Pence, I'm not lobbying for early impeachment. But it might have to be done at some point - that's up to the Republican Party, not me. barfo
Oh! I love the rule of law. I see no law broken. I hear of no law broken. I only hear loud mouths that want a savior to find something, anything.
Trump is the chief executive of the United States. By any logic, he can order investigations to stop. He can fire those ordered to stop. He can order one to begin. I am thinking it is time for the third option, perhaps with several people as the prime subject.
Then you should be happy about the investigation, because Mueller should conclude very quickly that there is nothing to it and close the operation down and announce the all-clear. Yet you seem to be very concerned... I wonder why? barfo
Nope. While he has the legal authority to fire people or stop/start investigations, that authority doesn't cover him doing so for criminal or self-interested reasons. It's simply not true that he can literally do whatever he wants. barfo
