So I'm curious, how in the hell did you end up in Flint of all places?

How long have you been here?

How did you become a Blazer fan?

You go where the job takes you. I have a very specific set of skills.

Arrived in US in 1989. Moved to Flint 1999.

Picked the wrong side in the '90 finals. Basketball is the only American sport I took to, but I took to it instantly (having never ever seen a game growing up in England - I guess I'd heard of Larry Bird and seen the Harlem Globetrotters on Scooby-Doo, but that's about it).

When I read Mick Jagger's book I was surprised to learn his father coached British basketball and Mick played it all his childhood...still does..that's like growing up in Flint and playing cricket....

Funny, you mention Michael Moore and I think ultra Left. The I character type him in my mind. Then I google the result and there he is, an ENFJ, in the Pop Culture section.

Left and Right is too narrow to hang on a man but character type will predict the lean.

LEEDS U-NI-TED! As you can see, I'm as good at picking my football teams as I am my basketball teams. But we'll always have the late '70s and early '90s.

His sister-in-law ran my son's Montessori school, and, bizarrely, he showed up at one of the kids' art shows once.
An ex-colleague of mine was the guy who got him inside the GM truck plant when he was filming Roger & Me.

There's a baseball diamond attached to one of the closed-down middle schools that dot the Flint landscape and I see a bunch of south-Asian students from the university playing Cricket from time to time. Warms my heart.

This is weird. If this is all that my 15 minutes of fame amount to in my life I will feel seriously cheated.

So, you are employed to add lead to drinking water. That is a very specific skill.

I tell him repeatedly, "I hate you son, because you are American."

Reminds me, where's my father's day card? Little shit.
