If any Pacers fan needs material, we should send them all the threads about Aldridge when he decided to leave.

What would be funny if Bird (being Bird) just ignored him and said "Fuck you, you're a Pacer until your contract runs out."

15+20+Hark gets it done. Does Neil pull the trigger?

    • Okay, Turner, #20 and #26.
    • Harkless and #15 to move up in the Draft.
    • Buy a 2nd round pick and pick up your 'diamond in the rough'.
Okay Neil, you have your directive. Go get it done.

We'd have to match salaries, but that's a good offer in general.

No worries. You are just stating your opinion like everyone else on here. :crystalball:

The Lakers have a better culture and more help than the Pacers?

Both Vonleh and Mo played better with Nurkic. Who didn't! I would like to see how that develops at least one more year.

I would happily keep both of them and trade Myle, Crabbe, Davis,Ezeli,Connie and Layman etc. We can't beat the Dub's with or without PG. IMO.

If we drafted our 3 picks and picked up a second rounder or two we would probably have a better bench in their rookie year than what we rolled out this last season!

To be honest I would give two firsts and crabbe or turner for George but unfortunately I don't think Neil and Paul would do it. I mean I'm down for one hell of a season regardless if he bounced next season but I think Neil is thinking more long term for this team which I understand but it kill some the fun that could be dame,cj, George, nurk

Why wouldn't they want crabbe? He's young. His contract would be pretty standard for a starter. Most teams would have to match salaries with Indiana anyway to make a trade work.

It would finally be that 'needle-mover' we've all been waiting on for years.

    That's what she said.

The Big Nurk deal was a needle-mover, to be fair. It's just that it wasn't viewed as such initially.

That press conference was more about the pick than Nurkic. He hadn't been playing much if at all. At the time, it was seen as getting something for nothing as they were going to lose Plumlee anyhow. That is seems to have worked out later (Nurkic already was injured again) is great but certainly wasn't a needle mover at the time.

George definitely would be.....even if for a short window. You just have to believe that Dame/CJ/Nurkic would provide an environment that would entice him to stay.

Trading for PG would be a needle destroyer.

The needle would be through the roof.

If you can add George for 2 picks, any 2, 2 of this year, 15 and unprotected next year if they want to spread it out, whatever, and a starter(Harkless, Crabbe, Turner), I think you very easily have to do it. You take the chance he likes it and stays. If he walks, and say we moved our 15 and next year's pick, which is likely in the 20s, you still have 2 picks from this year, and a dearth of young guys. I'm ok with taking that risk and hoping CJ/Dame/Nurk is enough to entice him to stay.

As a blazer fan, can some free agent/ summer shit just happen that I actually want? Whiteside never happened but I guess that's okay because Nurk will be a potential all star. I actually really want this Paul George thing to happen but I don't think we are one of the teams even talking to them. I think it will be Cleveland. but man after Dame and CJ both wanting PG, how they would play together, that would be some exciting ball.
