If Aldridge did come back, what would be the size of mea culpa that would be required?

I wouldn't mind having him back for a good price. But then again im not really the jersey-burning type. You have to remember he's an NBA basketball player, not a Portland Trailblazers superfan. Wanting to go play in his own hometown isn't exactly blasphemy.

Bingo, me too. I was never an Aldridge hater, but am somehow finding this unexpectedly gratifying. Kind of like of like getting dumped by your girlfriend for someone else and then seeing him dump her (or at least that's what I imagine it's like).

SAS isn't his hometown, DAL is.

This tantrum he's throwing now is his way of forcing a trade to the Maverick's so he can move back in with his mom.

A small part of me wants Aldridge to come back just so I can see people's heads explode. But that would only be fun for a day or so.

We've hurt his feelings so much by now I don't see him being happy here.

And with Dame, CJ and Nurk deserving the attention on offense, I don't see him being happy here.

I can't believe the Blazers would even consider this after what happened. Something tells me Dame and CJ wouldn't be thrilled about it.

He's from Dallas and he spends his offseasons in Los Angeles.

I get that. For me it's his need to be coddled and his jealousy of other players getting their lime light. I have heard from people behind the scenes how they hated being around him and we're glad to see his premadona ass go. This is Lillards team now. It can never go back to the way it was. And that will never work for Aldridge. He can't succeed in a team where he is not the main guy, where he is not catered to. It's not a surprise the Spurs are dangling him, begging teams to take him and are getting laughed at

Hey, if they'll take our bad contracts as filler, I'll welcome Aldridge back. He doesn't suck, he's just not a star anymore. Neither are Crabbe, Turner or Leonard.

Of course, the Spurs would never do that and the only other reasonable ways to match his salary are with Lillard or McCollum and...only Phil Jackson would do that.

    Nailed it!

Seriously, he had problems here because Lillard was more popular with the fans and the franchise than he was. How do you think he'd handle being 4th banana behind Dame, C.J., and Nurk?

Kinda hard to be The Greatest Blazer Ever™ when you're the 4th best player on the team.

Good, if it's leaked on Twitter then it's not going to happen. None of Olshey's actual moves get out like that.

wow.....I would think his buddies Earl Watson and Tyson Chandler would talk him into being a Sun or Magic would bring him in as a Laker before Portland...hmmm...maybe he missed making the allstar team in the west
