The cheap ass Chicago FO just sold an early second for 3.5 million. They are in talks of buying out Wade's 24M contract. What makes you think they would take on Turner's additional $45 million or so (over Rondo) for a measly second rounder? LMAO.
What properly going to happen is that Davis and either Aminu or Harkless going be gone. Aminu if stays I see him moving back to small foward. They will try attach ML to any trade there going to do.
Thought I read that NYK had interest in turners fit in the triangle? Gets some decent shooting and a two way 4 in return. http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yc3rsebx
While staying in New York, the nets need a stretch 5 real bad with the loss of Lopez. http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=hm4p649
Meyers + Napier + Quarterman to Minnesota for Rubio. Why Minnesota does it: It shaves an additional $2mil for the Teolves to be able to pursue Kyle Lowry this summer. Napier provides them with a backup pg and Leonard an additional shooter. Why we do it. Rubio to me is an ideal 3rd guard to pair with CJ and Dame providing extra length and decent steal capability, he also expires a year before Meyers does so we also shorten our cap obligations.
Meyers, Ezeli and Davis are all on the chopping block and if NO nails an asset in return, I fully believe they are gone. Vonleh will not go anywhere for at least one more year. He was our starter for a reason.
I was actually going to start a thread on this - we really only need one move this summer and that is to find a defensive oriented third guard. By far my #1 option is Marcus Smart - there isn't a close second. Patrick Beverly would be #2 on my list.
And for us. When is someone going to gift us an all star final championship puzzle piece? Don't answer that.
He will...but he could be traded before we have his option...2nd year is our option I think...Connaughton will expire in July too I believe
He's not better than Crabbe, Moe, or Turner when given starter minutes and they're the #1 or #2 option on their team. Which they all would be if they had gotten traded to Chicago or Indiana. Tell me why they wouldn't be? Especially for Crabbe.
Rubio also fits that mold - he is one of the better defensive PGs out there. His advanced numbers are actually right there with Smart on this end.
