Feel free to start discussions on other topics. Feel free to ignore Trump discussions. Personally, I'm interested in politics and this is one of the most interesting political years we've ever had. I think it's fascinating, but I respect your right to be uninterested. barfo
What is funny is that the WaPost actually sent reporters out to search for these things at his resorts. Maybe they should send those people to Venezuela to cover real news instead. FWIW, I've seen stores that will put your picture or anything you want on a fake cover of Time (or some other) magazine.
I love this reasoning. As if it's not possible to do both, and that they sat down and thought "hey guys, we could go to Venezuela to covers some real news, or we could just send Joe to a Trump resort...let's vote. Remember, it's one or the other, we cannot do both"
Wow, I didn't know that the Washington Post had fallen on such hard times that they have only the one reporter.
Venezuela is real news. Wasting reporters seeking existence of a vanity Time magazine cover? Seriously?
Dammit all to hell!!!!!!! I actually agree with Denny on this......and even gave his comment a like. Trump already provides plenty of serious ammunition for derision. There is no need to go hunting for petty bullshit......and yes, what's happening in Venezuela has far more impact than a dummy magazine cover (pun very intentional).......
Again, I was unaware that the Washington Post has just the single reporter, and he has to cover everything and singularly makes the decision on what to cover or not cover, and in this case chose to cover the Trump Time Magazine issue over Venezuela. That guy should be fired, and the Washington Post should be shuttered for making such an obvious decision only done to anger secret Trump supporters.
Illegal immigration is way down. This is a Trump campaign promise and signature of his presidency. The price we're paying is a terrible one. People who've lived here all their lives are being hassled for no good reason. "Hassle" is probably not as strong a word to describe it. Maybe the WaPost could use their reporters to cover this.
Illegal immigration was down before he took office. Also... https://www.washingtonpost.com/worl...964a7d55207_story.html?utm_term=.75e2f68b454a Not even 5 seconds needed to find that on google. Maybe don't just throw shit out there because you've read a chain email from your uncle and you think it means you're correct. https://www.google.com/search?q=washington post venezuela&oq=washington post venezuela&aqs=chrome..69i57.12677j0j4&client=tablet-android-om-lge&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8
You miss my point. There's clearly other much more important news worthy of the reporters' efforts and the paper's budget. This is an incredibly petty smear job.
Hey, I won a mirror with a Time cover outline at the fair years ago. Do I need to dig in my storage boxes and throw it away?
Major newspapers have reporters on contract throughout the country. If they need a story or facts for part of a story from a certain area they will call up that person and send them out. Portland has a reporter for the NYT here. Anything Portland related that's the person they call. If there were a Trump golf club here that's who they would send to see if that fake magazine were on the wall. But the NYT times wouldn't send their Portland reporter to Venezuela, nor would they fly out a reporter from NY or Venezuela to Portland. Just because an editor called the Portland based reporter doesn't mean they also didn't call the Venezuela based reporter.
