Lowe on his podcast today says tampering happens all the time. There are apparently teams that already have deals in place with free agents that will come out after July 1.

Every summer we see players lining up to sign a contract with Daryl Morey - the guy who treats every player as if he's a pawn in his trading game.

    I just don't get it.

Exactly why last year that Mozgov deal was pretty much announced right when it started

Which has led to a guy with a more punchable face than Danny Ainge and Jared Dudley combined becoming incredibly arrogant.

Hey Daryl, you are not the reason they are coming to HOU. The reasons are:

Willingness to overpay guys who are past their prime, have injury/health concerns, and are about to decline dramatically
    No state income tax
    Great weather during the season
    Several other reasons
    Good strip clubs
    Everything else
    Daryl Morey

Only after we figure out how to overcome the first three items on the list.

Or maybe, since the first three are insurmountable, we should just say fuck it and build more strip clubs.

Replace the pinwheel with a stripper pole, augment the dance crew and Paul Allen's nightly company...

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Kinda reminds me of this image I made back when we had a forum game to caption a picture of Randolph:

    Randolph-Thoughtful.jpg

We could use that as the new logo. I'll license it (relatively) cheaply.

Replace Zach with Aminu and I'm good with it.

Such a horrible trade for both teams.

A.) There is only one basketball and Harden and Paul both flourish when they dominate the ball and make decisions for the team.

B.) The Clippers got a bunch of scraps for Paul. They're going to suck next year.

Teams are desperate to try and compete in a shitty era of the NBA.

Interesting article on this subject: Can Chris Paul And James Harden Play Together?

Based on current rosters, they project 55.5 wins, compared to 55 for HOU last season. It's just a projection, so it doesn't really mean much. The real test will come in the payoffs, where neither player has enjoyed much success in recent years.

Same thing I said. And I'd love if Melo went there (unrealistic as a buyout is).

The Clippers didn't have much choice--this was an old style sign-and-trade...Paul was going to Houston, as a free agent if necessary. The Clippers traded him there rather than get absolutely nothing.
