We can't let there be games where he only takes 2-3 shots.

I am never going to believe it unless I hear it from the man himself.

Nene to stay with Rockets. I think his injury cost them series with Spurs.

And i would trade him for cash considerations.

Look he is a good shooter, but he cant create shit for himself, and i used to think he could play defense because he has the build of a good defender but he is pretty bad at d.

He has potential i guess, but he isn't worth anywhere near what he is paid.

Yep. He's an underrated signing. He was a beast for them this year, even at his age.

No we didn't. It's not like Allen Crabbe is the key to our future. His production can easily be replaced by guys making less money (as evidence by many of today's signings).

    Once does not equal always.

Rather than overpaying them because someone else forced your hand, it's better to let them go and use the roster spot and salary on players that are actually worth the money than are paid. Overpaying for underperfoming players is not a sound long term (or even a very good short term) strategy.

Let's see how A) Crabbe continues to develop or B) what he gets us in a trade.

That makes more sense? isn't it exactly what I said it was? I never said Teague wasn't good I just said I thought salaries were supposed to not be as crazy as last year....since the cap went down.
    Or did it go up?

Lakers speaking to Iggy and Rondo. Rondo is terrible idea.

What other kind of step would you expect from a Crabbe?
(How did nobody else jump on that? Too obvious?)

    Hello darkness, my old friend
He's not the third-best three-point shooter in the NBA. Curry, Klay, Lillard, McCollum are all better than him, among many others. What you mean to say is that he had the third-highest three-point percentage in the NBA, and relating that to his standing among three-point shooters in the NBA is akin to arguing that the quarterback with the third-highest completion percentage is the third most accurate quarterback in the NFL, even if he's a backup who throws very few passes and mostly short ones.

Without elite abilities to shoot off the dribble or shoot with a hand in your face, you aren't anywhere close to the third-best three-point shooter in this era.

I'd be happy with either seeing him improve, or getting something in value in return, but I'm not optimistic on either count.

He's been in the league for four years now and hasn't added one new skill. He's just a little better at the one, and only skill, he's always had.

He's been in the league for four years with a pretty defined skill set. All he did was just get himself in better shape and bring his game to an NBA level. What is he gonna do.... turn into a lock down defender in a couple of months?

The cap went up. It was revised down recently from a previous figure, but both the old and new figures are higher than last year's cap. Also, salaries aren't as crazy as last year. Teague making as much as Crabbe is a sign of sanity this year, as opposed to last year. The only thing escalating this year are max contracts, since super-maxes have gone up.

He's good at picking off some passes and getting some fast break dunks.

I'm not "happy" to keep Crabbe but I don't want to move him for nothing. I'v got faith he has a much better year next year or at least keeps up his insane 3p shooting and we can get a decent deal for him.

Crabbe doesn't bother me. If we didn't match, we were already over the cap and couldn't sign anyone else. He's young, he's a great shooter, and still has upside. If we trade him, I won't cry a tear but I'm happy with him on our team as is.
