I think our biggest acquistion this year will be just having Nurk to start the season..

Gallinari's the opposite of Aminu. His horrid defense cancels out any offense he provides.

Until he can prove he can stay healthy, we should temper our expectations. We've been hurt so much that I don't want to get my hopes up.

That was an exact quote by Kerr. The playoffs ARE a small sample size. You have to play well in the sample size to advance. Aminu isn't an All Star. He isn't going to average 25-30 points, but if he can do it TWICE as he did vs the Clippers, you win the series. He's a very valuable player to have. I know you'd rather we had Iggy but he ain't coming here.

Health or not, it still will probably be our biggest acquistion.

Maybe but even if he continues at the pace he was playing at with us last season, we will only be a fringe playoff team at best in this overpowered bull shit ass western conference.

Did you see Aminu's shooting percentages in the playoffs? He was decent on both sides of the court. He's not DPOY but he is the only guy with any chance of guarding KD or LBJ on our team. He wasn't able to do much on Durant in playoffs last year because he was too busy playing center because all our centers were hurt.

Which will make the next year even better! I'm okay with this.

You think so? We played really really well with him last year. In fact, I think he was near a +10 in his only playoff minutes last year. Pretty much, whenever he's on the court, everything becomes easier for the team. I can't wait to see him play again this coming season. When he's on, is there a better center in the league? Is he 23 yet?

Curry doesn't have a no trade clause.

I don't disagree with you that Aminu has value around the league like others are.

Turner has shown over his career he is more than capable of guarding LBJ.

He IS a good NBA player. An excellent role player that would make any team in this league better if he played for them.

I'm not. Even fringe playoff teams needs to show improvement in the long run. We are doing the opposite, consistently getting younger in the hopes that we kick the can down the road and hope that it lands just right. Adding Nurk is the only solid quality starter we have added to the roster in what, a two year period. That's bad. Teams that improved more than us last year are improving that much AGAIN using the same league rules. A host of players were traded in deals that immediately made the West Coast teams even better. We have improved more because of the the players our rivals lost. There HAS to be a way that we can improve if we are ever going to become a contender. Right now we are just running in place. Hopefully, at least one of these rookies can become an impact starter right away and truly make us significantly better.

Let's see how the season goes. The most unnoticed moves can prove to be the biggest. The Nurkic trade was probably the best trade in the NBA last year and no one saw it coming. What if a "star" like Howard had signed with us? Or even Whiteside? Nurkic was the better player even though he didn't have a big name on the outset. The 2012-13 Lakers brought in a bunch of names and barely made the playoffs. Personally, I'd rather have Dame/CJ/Nurk than Dame/Crabbe/Cousins as many begged for. Neil is doing a great job at putting together the best team possible. And he's not stupid. He made an offer for Paul George but they said no.

I have high hopes for Swanigan. I really think he could make the difference and become an impact player. Seriously, all of us should be watching those Summer League games. They may tell us more than in 3 games than the first 20 regular season ones do.
