Oddsmakers have set the Blazers over/under win total at 40.5, just behind the L.A. Clippers, New Orleans Pelicans and Memphis Grizzlies all of which were given an over/under line of 41.5. The Golden State Warriors (67.5), Houston Rockets (56.5) and San Antonio Spurs (55.5) have highest lines in the Western Conference. While Butler's Minnesota Timberwolves (46.5) and George's Oklahoma City Thunder (48.5) are both projected to finish ahead of Portland. http://www.oregonlive.com/blazers/i...oddsmakers_set_portland_trail_blazers_ov.html
Meh, those same odds makers has us winning 27.5 games the year we won 44. If I'm doing the math right, that means we should be good for 57 wins this year. BNM
No. You can use a few sites Vegas is tempting people to bet over on Portland, which means don't do it.
It's not a bad idea. It's seems a couple wins off from the push they go for. Small market, not a national brand, so maybe hoping for a payback without a lot of risk
I'd bet the over on Portland, too. I wouldn't bet the under on the Spurs, though. Not because of Rudy Gay, but because I'll believe in their voodoo magic until it stops working.
I mean, I think even a cynical portland fan would put it at about 38-40... you kind of HAVE to take the over... I know I sure as hell would, and wouldnt look back.
I think it mostly comes down to Nurkic staying healthy; not exactly a given with his track record. If he can play 75+ games I'd easily take the over (my gut tells me 47 wins in this scenario) if he misses 15-20+ games, then I think the Blazers are right back to being a .400 to .450 team. It's a tempting bet.
