I think the best thing to do would be to pull the Celtics in the trade to try and get Crowder or Bradley.
Then we can also remove Houston from it because we basically don't want any of what they can offer.
Then while we're at it we can also remove the Knicks.

    Yeah... That sounds good.

Would y'all do Harkless, Meyers, Davis, and Aminu for Anderson, J.Noah, and the right to swap 1sts with NYK?

That pick could be top 5. I'd do it.

Probably not, but who knows how desperate they are to get rid of Noah.

Anderson AND Noah, and we only get to swap picks? When we match a 20 per year deal for Nurk, we're looking at a 150 million for just 7 guys. That's just terrible.

    Lillard
    CJ/Crabbe
    Turner
    Anderson
    Nurk/Noah

    150 million dollars. LOL.

Please give me some perspective. I think that's a horrible deal.

Yeah, but I think its worth it to add a potential superstar. Itll all come off the books in 2020, when GSW will be on the decline and we'll have a little bit of cap space to add to a core of Dame/CJ/Nurk/Collins/Vonleh/Swanigan and one of Porter, Doncic, Bamba, or Bridges.

Actually I pray you go become one - the Miami Heat one. Because, that's the ONLY way that trade ever happens.

I'm certain Paul Allen is more than happy to pay the luxury tax. I can all but guarantee he's not paying that though. I don't want to bother with the specific math currently. But we add a little over 11 next year, plus the difference in picks. (If there is a big one. West is brutal, east is shit. Could be the difference between 6 and 14). But then Davis expires, and the difference(plus tax) gets bigger. And then Aminu expires,s and it's a 20+ million dollar difference. All the while in the tax. Let's be lazy and go one for one tax. You spent about 80-100 million dollars just to move up in a draft next year, to build for 3 years from now. And that 80 million estimate is low.

You complain about Neil not making moves, being done, whatever, but then toss out trades from the trade machine you'd totally do, easily, that runs up a 100 million dollar tab and adds 2 players that add very little to our team, just to maybe have a chance at a great pick and some space 3 years from now? It's an awful deal, that no owner would accept. Maybe it works out great in 2K where nobody is actually writing that luxury tax check on August 1st, but it's terrible for the Blazers.

Remember last year when we got Nurk. All the rumor was with us and Philly that we was going to get Okafor. All sudden we traded with Denver for Nurk. Is this going be another one of those trade where everyone have there ears on this trade and Olshey actually trade with someone else. As got to look at it lot more I don't think Olshey does a trade that had Anderson coming to us. Not when you got 5 guys on the roster that can play PF. Plus it doesn't helps us salary wise.

So I think a pick sweetener would have to probably go to NY (from Houston?). Also, NY probably won't do it if they actually like Harkless, so it's probably too rosy.

I do like the balance we'd be provided with if something like this worked out, and I'm a huge AB fan. I just feel like he'd be the perfect 3rd guard to play with Dame and CJ, as he has experience playing off the ball, can stretch the floor, and would help compensate for their lack of defense. With AB, Turner/Harkless can spend more time guarding 2s and 3s, rendering Aminu tradeable too. That starting offense would be a thing of beauty.

    Bradley/Anderson to Portland
Noah/Connaughton to Boston (two native Bostonians, they add shooting, rebounding, and cap flexibility)
    Carmelo to Houston
    Crabbe/Leonard to New York

    Lillard/Bradley
    CJ/Bradley
    Harkless/Turner
    Anderson/Aminu
    Nurkic/Davis

scraps for Swanigan, Collins, and Napier.

Maybe we're using Houston as leverage with Boston?
