That seems like a minor detail in the grand scheme of things. I assume it would be protected, so is our 1st and NY's 2nd that far off if we added Gordon and Anderson? I would guess about 10- 12 spots in the draft.

Why would Houston care what Anderson thinks about any potential trade destination?

Attention People of This Forum: Please stop proposing trade scenarios that include Eric Gordon to Portland. It's never going to happen, not in a million years. Neil Olshey is not going to trade for a player that called him a liar and unprofessional in the press. Eric Gordon wants nothing to do with any team that employs Neil Olshey and the feeling is mutual. Know your history people...

Only if he is sent to Brooklyn. Crabbe can be traded to any one of the other 28 teams today.

I don't know, perhaps to stay on good terms with his agent??? I wasn't the one that claimed the deal was being held up because Anderson doesn't want to come to POR and HOU was trying to appease him. I was just replying to that comment.

Haven't we learned by now that "being on good terms with agents" doesn't really mean anything. Now matter how many of their clients you pay, never seems to translate in becoming a destination for a different client.

One of the Knicks forum had a rumor that they'd get Turner + Harkless + 1st (from Houston).
If that's the case, I'd be OK with this trade:

Not true. BRK submitted their offer sheet on 7/8/2016. The trade restriction expired one year later on 7/8/2017. We are now free to trade Allen Crabbe - if we can convince someone to take him.

The 18th pick is MUCH more valuable than the 31st pick. Maybe NYK is the worst team in the league next year, but we definitely won't be the best.

I was not stating it as a fact. That's why I included the three question marks at the end of that sentence.

Again, I was not the one that claimed HOU was trying to "appease" Ryan Anderson. I was just responding to someone else's post that said they were.

Yeah, pretty sure those two things are not the same.

POR is not Eric Gordon's home town. He will not get to hand select his teammates. He's not the best payer on the planet, etc.

What trade restriction? The only team we couldn't trade him to was Brooklyn.

I am strictly talking about the HATE. Time tend to heal old wounds. He is older and hopefully more mature now.

Because we matched BRK's offer sheet to retain Crabbe, he automatically had a no trade clause that allowed him to veto any trade to any team (not just BRK) for 1 year from the date of the BRK offer.

It wasn't built into the offer sheet (like the 15% trade kicker). It's part of the CBA and applies to any RFA whose team matches an offer sheet from another team.

Totally different situation. LeBron never talked shit about the CLE front office or owner. Gordon publicly trashed Olshey and was still pissed at Olshey two years after the CP3 trade.
