You know what other excuse people say? "If only he got the ball more"...."he never gets touches"

Right, it's always somebody else's fault. In Stotts' flow offense there are plenty of shot opportunities for anyone willing to take the shots. Evan Turner, Meyers Leonard and Mason Plumlee all averaged more FGA/36 than Crabbe. He's passive, can't create for himself and won't shoot unless he's wide open. That's fine for a bench player, but if he ever becomes a starter, he's going to have to be more assertive.

And I think there is more to come. It's a long season and whatever the outcome it should be fun and interesting to say the least.

Passive is the best way to describe him when he does get the ball. Dribble dribble dribble pass up. I mean I really want him to be able to create his own shot, he just never does, he has the ability though. Great spot up shooter. Just not aggressive at all and people value him too much. I wanted to give him a chance after that huge contract and seeing videos last summer of him training and working on shots off the dribble but when has he ever utilized that? when has he ever taken advantage of getting the ball besides spot ups?

Honest question. Do you think Crabbe improved his overall play last season? His scoring average went from 10.3 ppg to 10.7 ppg, but his minutes also increased from 26.0 MPG to 28.5 MPG. His PTS/36 actually went down from 14.2 to 13.5.

Where do you think any improvement in his play will come from? Improved handle? Better rebounding and passing? More assertive? Better defense?

It's weird how much you talk about someone you evidently don't like. You talk about him more than anyone on this board.

It's VERY possible he's been doing exactly what the coaches have told him to do.

So, your point? People talk about the players they don't like all the time here. Jeezus, Meyers Leonard gets way more run here than just about anyone. Why aren't you defending him against all his "haters"?

I think Crabbe is overpaid based on his production and would like to see that contract moved before we need to give Nurk his extension next summer. Others disagree. Discussing differences of opinions is the basis for most online forums. If everyone agreed, Denny wouldn't be able to keep the lights on.

I've done that enough. After a certain point, it's just going in circles.

Meyers gets a lot of shit but it's mostly jokes by this point. I don't think anyone really takes him seriously anymore. We're way past that point. Your crabbe takes are all filled with spreadsheets of stats that favor whatever argument youre trying to make at the time. Like you're trying to convince literally everyone that has a different opinion than you.

And they are trying to convince me I'm wrong. That's the way this works. I have an opinion and I'm willing to back it up. Doesn't mean I'm right. Time will tell.

Can we please trade Crabbe just so I don't have to listen to this debate anymore?

There's a reason he put on 15 pounds of muscle this off season; so its not so easy for his counterpart to push him around and for Crabbe to be the one who muscles his opponents for an easier score. It would not surprise me if Stotts gives Crabbe more of what Wesley's role on the team was, IE; Three's, backing smaller opponent's down on the block/paint, shooting after coming off screens and step back jumpers. Stotts implemented some of this with Crabbe already last season(There was an article written about it the previous off season. Freeman or Richman I think wrote it. Not sure.)

The kind of dumbasses you can find on twitter.
If you think RC2 is down too quick on Collins you should read replies to the Blazers tweet. SMH

In a few months people will be discussing attaching 4 picks to get rid of Collins contract. It's called Meyers syndrome.

Did Knicks seriously give Ron Baker a $4.5M a year contract?

I don't think so. At least with Crabbe, you get floor spacing because they have to guard his 3. I had stopped watching the Blazers much during the time Turner supposedly got so much better, but what did he do in the playoffs? Jack-poo.
