    Chuck sucks as a writer. Decent enough story ideas, but his writing BLOWS.

    *I stopped reading his books after awhile, but I don't imagine he suddenly learned how to write better.

    He is not my favorite writer at all, as that would go to Richard Brautigan, Nabokov, Bukowski, or Henry Miller, however, I really do like his work. He might not go down as a classic, but he is highly entertaining, very imaginative, and his work is very readable.
    I don't read him for the same reasons that I read Sartre, as I expect to get different things from the experience. It is all subjective. And I only care about whether I enjoy it or not. The outside perspective matters not.
