There's that positive attitude we've all grown to love. Why is regional lame? I'd prefer a company with somewhat local headquarters on the Trail Blazers uni. It will be a national/global brand. There's no reason for a company that only serves the NW to spend that amount of $$ on the jersey patch. The impact of it is global.
Very true. But I think the uni logo has much more of a global reach/impact than the name on an arena. There are several arenas/stadiums that have only local names/sponsors. Chesapeake Energy Arena Smoothie King Center Talking Stick Resort Arena Moda Center
I almost don't care who the sponsor is, I just want the one with the best logo is all. Columbia isn't that bad actually. In a weird way it's our pinwheel with all the limbs chopped off....... I think we could do a lot worse than this.
IMO this is the one. They do more for basketball than probably any corporation in OR (save Nike/Adidas).
I know you hate them; I was actually thinking about that when I posted that. I just think their red S would mesh nicely with team colors. And in all reality, do you think people would be more likely to shop there if they advertised on the Blazers' unis? I don't. So really, they'd be wasting money. So...yeah--F Safeway, waste your marketing dollars on the Blazers! Seems like the obvious choice, but do they have a logo that would look cool on a jersey?
I think the question remains. Might look decent on a Rockets jersey...I don't think I'd like it on a Blazers jersey.
Why did my man say fuck Safeway and my other man say, "Ya, I know you hate Safeway."? Did dviss get mugged by Klansman in the produce section at a Safeway?
Safeway, in my experience, has generally served the lower-class areas. They also have significantly higher prices. Basically, they price gouge those who can least afford it - much like that gas station on MLK & Fremont. Also, they rarely staff enough people so check out takes forever. I agree with the "F Safeway" sentiment - they're the worst.
