Just go with an 8 team league?
I'd rather have a good 8 team league than a 10 team league with 2 guys who arent 100% into it.

8 it's just way too small in my opinion. The league wouldn't have enough players and would be the opposite of watered down. With 10, its a good amount of people and the 2 QB system is designed for that.

Also, I don't think someone will join who isn't 100% into it, which I guess is why thus isn't getting a ton of traction. I might bring back Gear whos my cousin and played last year and isn't in the forum but pays attention and it's a good league member. That would give us 9.

Literally just need at least 1 more person. Might start messaging random people to be honest. I know @KeepOnRollin runs a fantasy basketball league and I might see if he or anyone else in there is interested and haven't seen the thread.

Yeah, leagues been reactivated, I'm just stuck at a point where we need a person or two and can't seem to find them.

So just so I am clear about what could happen, 8 teams=No season this year. 9 teams or more= It's a go.

    Do I have this right?

How long will you holdout for another person or two before you decide to scrap the season @BonesJones?

No we'd still do a season with 8 I just think 10 is better.

I'm sure we could find 10 in we got looked for other people that aren't on the forum. Would you guys be cool with that? The 9th could be my cousin if you guys were fine with that.

It's up to you guys. This is a democracy lol.

^ just sign your cousin up for a ripcitytwo username and tell him to pledge his undying loyalty to the Blazers always and forever and we should be fine with that :dunno: others might have more outlandish requirements like paying each team manager a $5 initiation fee -or- agreeing to the last pick in the draft -or- something :devilwink:

Lol, they will get last selection of where to pick.

Had to keep Perez because he won last year. Once he loses he's out lol.

If we only have 8 committed guys that is fine with me. If we try for 10, let's make sure all are committed. I would rather have a smaller league with everyone being competitive instead of adding two more who will not be committed half way through the season. Just my thoughts.

I agree 100%. I'd rather just have an 8 team league and then add two more flex spots & two more bench spots to our rosters.

I'm sorry @BonesJones I really want to play but I'd have to do a lot to be able to give it the time that it deserves for me to march to my championship.

    If I can't be 100% committed to out GM'ing y'all I can't commit.

Just roll with 8 teams! That'd make the two QB set up even better in my opinion. And give us 2 more flex spots and 2-3 more bench spots.
    8 owners - 3 QB's per roster (2 starters 1 bench) = 24 QB's. There arent even 24 solid QB's in the NFL!
Looks like we already have 2 votes for 8 teams.

Okay. I guess we'll roll with 8 teams if we can't find a couple others.

I want everyone's opinion on the following:

    How about this roster setup?

    QB
    QB
    RB
    RB
    RB/WR
    WR
    WR
    TE
    FLEX
    D/ST
    K
    8 Bench Spots

That would mean 19 Players Per Team. Would be an interesting and different type of fantasy league.

That makes a $400 Prize Pool with $50 buy-ins. If we did $5 weekly bonuses through 16 weeks that'd be $80. If we gave an extra $10 to highest scoring game of the season (including playoffs) and $10 to most total points throughout the regular season, that'd be a total of $100 towards bonuses and $300 towards 1st/2nd/3rd. With 8 teams, it'd be almost guaranteed everyone would make a little bit of that $50 back, even if their team isn't that great. Would make playoffs interesting for non-playoff teams with the $5 and $10 bonuses they could still earn.
    1st: $200
    2nd: $75
    3rd: $25
    - or -
    1st: $180
    2nd: $90
    3rd: $30

As far as playoff setups go, we could go with 4 teams and 2-week rounds (13&14, 15$16), or we could go with 5 teams and 1 week rounds (4v5 in week 14, SF in week 15, Final in week 16).

Let me know if this sounds good.

I'm good with it. I'd prefer the five playoff team scenario. And first place taking $200.

    Bones,
I think you should give up on finding 2 more people and just commit to an 8 team league now. It's time to lock this in and draft soon.
I like the roster scenario you listed above. That'll be different than normal leagues which will make it more fun.
I vote for $180, $90, and $30 payout option and agree with the other payouts.
I'm OK with either playoff option. But my top choice would be for 5 teams to make it (4v5 in week 14, SF in week 15, Final in week 16).
    Thanks for organizing all this.

You want to have 2 starting qb? No thank you on that, 2 on the roster yes but not two starting.

I think it'll be fun, especially in only an 8 team league.
