    The founders were deists, not especially religious. Separation of Church and State, etc.

    They wrote: "no Person shall be deprived of Life, Liberty, or Property without due process."

    The concept that penalty after due process can be Life (as well as Liberty, as in prison), is for good reason.

    You need to stop.
    I'm allowed to believe the death penalty is wrong. I'm also aware I'm in the minority on it.
    But it doesn't change the fact I'm allowed to believe killing someone because they murdered someone changes nothing.
    Only benefit that has is there is a chance that person could turn into a martyr.

    After doing some thinking, I felt it was a hateful and hurtful thing that was originally posted. For that lady's family to find that disgusting comment was re-posted hundreds or even thousands of times across the internet would be only adding to their pain.

    Just curious. Don't want you to stay out if you don't want to. This issue doesn't hurt me much. I'm getting old super fast and don't have kids. (Makes me a leech apparently)

    I just wondered where your head was in regards to the greater issue. Not the definition of terrorist or other minor issues.

    Eh, the conservatives on this board still don't think this is a terrorist act, due to it not being pre-meditated in their mind.
    But they also were unwilling to label the max terrorist as such.

    However the argument can be made that certain alt-right people have pre-meditated what they'd do if they were in this situation.
